Just turn your laptop back and find the space which is indicated by a label. Just pick a screw driver and open the screw. Make sure you have switch off your laptop properly. You will see a Ram puted on a jack and pick out the ram properly and see how many jacks are available. If more than one jack is available then take the ram to the market to purchase a similar matching RAM so that your laptop accept it. Then put the both RAM properly.

Hi lchangkee...
If you want to upgrade your ram, all you do is remove the ram that is in the computer, and replace it with compatible ram (same number) an example of that would be if your ram was SODIMM 512MB PC2100 DDR 266 512 MB LAPTOP 200pin MEMORY, then that is the type of ram you will want to replace it with but more like this.
SODIMM 2GB PC2100 DDR 266 512 MB LAPTOP 200pin MEMORY notice the only thing that changed was the amount from 512 mb to 2 gb. Most memory cards can be removed without any problem...refer to your owners manual as to where the ram is located Please take time to rate me

I have installed extra RAM im my vgc-m1. But it does not boot up, just keeps going to boot up normally with windows. I have checked bios setup and it recognises the extra ram, I have also got latest bios...

Hi crobinsona
The extraRam is not compatible with your system or the manufacturer's product isn't neither . Check in the Bios to see what exact type of Ram is supported . Download and install Sandra from http://download.cnet.com/SiSoftware-Sandra/3000-2086_4-10556571.html . It will give you detailed description of the existing RAM and allow you to compare with the stuff you' ve purchased .
Here are a few reliable manufacturers : Crucial , Corsair , Kingston .
Here is a reliable address for purchasing on the net : www.upgradecomputermemory.com
Similar products vary in quality from one source to another and it often happends that low price products simply don't run in different machines .
Best regards ,
fanaudi .

How do i remove the power sup ly to add extra ram on my acer aspire x3400

You shouldn't need to remove the PSU, however you will need to remove the AC adaptor/Charger and the battery.

The ram housing is usually concealed under a removable plate on the underside of the laptop.

Ek Dada, Ek Bap, Ek Pota, Tino ki age 140 yers. Pota jitne month ka dada utne sal ka, pota jitne din Ka,.Bap utne week ka, WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

OK here it is.

Dada is 84 years old (grandfather)

Baap is 49 years old (father)

Pota is 7 years old (grandson)

Check: 84 + 49 + 7 = 140 years

Read below if you want to know how to solve (Its a simultaneous eq. of 3 variables bdw :)):

Let Dada be D years, Baap be B years and Pota be P years

D + B + P = 140 (given)----------------------------- (1)

Constraints:

D = 12P; --------------------------------------------------- (2) 1 year is 12 months; 52 weeks; and 365 days

52B = 365P; --------------------------------------------- (3)

Substitute value of P from (3) into (2) therefore D = (12 * 52/365)B ------------------- (4)

Put (4) in 1 to get

(12*52/365)B + B + (52/365)B = 140

This gives B = 49 years. Put in above eqs to get other values.

Extra RAM in emachines 5220

I think you are mixing ram.... Use the same make and module for your ram... when you mix ram, the problem is other ram can be difernt Voltage. some 1.9V, 1.8V, 2.0V, 2.2V to operate. If you have 1.8V and 2.0V the computer won't boot. Hope this helps.

I have bought a HP550 laptop product code FS328AA. I also bought an extra Kingston 2GB RAM. When I put the extra memory I get the srceen of death. What is wrong?

this means either the memory is corrupt, which is possible even with new units especially if you weren't careful when installing. Or, the memory is the wrong speed. What did you buy 1 2gb?

Wont recognize additional ram

It could be the wrong ram that u are using when i put extra ram in I make sure they are all the same brand. some boards take 2 different types of ram (speeds) i would go back to crucial with your good ram in and then do a check and see what ram your board needs
