HP D1420 USB Printer starts printing then stops, and starts, and stops untill either timing out or completing the task (Lagging)

try uninstalling the drivers then reconnecting the printer with out them and see if xp default printers will work better, if not see hp website for the latest driver. looking at there site there is an update available which looks to be for your type of problem here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3311793#N317
hope this helps you.

Printing gibberish

Printing gibberish, or as I refer to them as 'lucky charms' is indicative of a corrupted driver. I would reload the driver or see if HP has an updated driver set for this model.

I cant plot from AutoCad 2006, using My hp

hmmm.. we only have two computers at my work connected to a router. the designjet has a network card going straight to it. i connect to the router wireless and it reads vista. my boss connects to the design jet thru the router as well with a network card rj cable with xp pro. as for our printer it can be connected via router and does work fine but my boss has it directely connected to his computer and i share it off of his system. then we also have a zerox machine connected via router as well. maybe your router is going out? try a new one or a better one and see if that fixes it. it maybe defected or time for a new one.......

if it was working before then maybe its the router.

Hp deskjet F 380 all-in-one prints gibberish

Ok so the fact that it is printing gibberish means that either A you have not installed the hp software or B the software is not being recognized or is corrupt.

If you have not installed the software that came with it you have to do that so the proper drivers are installed.

If you have the software installed then go to your start menu and then the control panel. Go to printers and faxes and delete the F380 from the list. If there is more than one then delete them all. Then click on the add a printer button on the left. Go through the prompts to add the printer to the list and then close out and try to print again.

If that still does not solve the issue go into the hp folder in the start menu or hard drive and do the hp uninstaller and download the most recent drivers from www.hp.com - on the left side you will see a grey menu that says software and driver downloads click on it and type your product. Then click your OS and download and install the applicable file.
