Question about Bose Acoustimass 10 III System

1 Answer

How do I connect my Bose 201 speakers to my Bose 3-2-1 system?

There are no external speaker jacks on the Bose 3-2-1 system for additional speakers. Is there an adaptor available to split the speaker lines? I find nothing on the Bose website.

I want to run a line to the Bose 201 speakers into a nearby room for music.

Thanks!

Why I am having trouble using channel 3 on my Bose tonematch the XLR is fine but the 1/4 inch does not work

On the T1® the first three inputs are combo inputs that take both XLR and 1/4" jacks. You want to connect your guitar to the combo jack (in the middle of the XLR input). The 1/4:" jack below that is actually a line-out.

I just purchased a pair of Bose 201 V used speakers. When the receiver is on the right speaker makes a low intermitment bass vibration.

Absent audio input, speakers are silent. It's NOT the speakers.

Check how your speaker wires are routed. They may be picking up airborne electrical impulses from something. Also check your signal cables.

How can I hook up my Bose cinemate on my Philips HD tv when no there is no Audio out and I want to use it for my dvd player, cable box, and video systems?

You don't need to send audio TO a TV. I's a TV, not a source of anything. Many of us use monitors (no TV speakers). The Bose speakers are presumably superior to the TV speakers so whatever the TV is watching (cable/sat/dvd) shuld have its own audio.

Page 11.

If your TV does not have any audio output jacks, you can connect the CineMate™ speaker

system to the audio output jacks of another source, such as a DVD player or cable/satellite

box. However, you will hear sound only from the connected source through your CineMate
speakers.

Is there any way to connect bose cinemate to a receiver and not just to the tv or dvd?

Yes: Connect them to the receiver jacks labeled "line out" if it has them.. Or if your receiver has two sets of jacks called "Preamp Out" and "Power Amp In", you can connect the Bose system to the "Preamp Out" jacks. But of course, then you can't use the receiver's power amplifier or any speakers connected to the receiver's speaker outputs, unless you do some creative wiring outside the unit. You can do it using standard RCA Y-adaptors if you have the "Pre Out/Power In" jacks. If you have Line Out jacks on the receiver, you can use both the Bose and your receiver speakers at the same time, or separately.

Brookstone Wireless Outdoor Speaker with Bose 123 System Problem

AUX usually refers to an INPUT, such as a CD player, etc. No signal comes out of a standard AUX jack, unless it specifically says "Aux speaker output". Instead, look for another speaker output jack, such as remote speaker, B speakers, etc. You may only have one set of speaker output jacks, in which case you would need to connect your wireless speaker to the speaker output jacks along with your main speakers, or buy a little speaker selector switch box to switch between main and wireless speakers. There's usually no harm in connecting more than one speaker set to the same outputs, though it is technically not recommended. In the real world, just don't crank it too loud and you'll be fine. The wireless speaker MIGHT run off of a standard line output also, if the wireless speaker has its own power amplifier.

Can I hook my TV directly up to Bose 201 speakers?

It depends on the TV audio output connections. Most TVs have low level audio outputs (RCA Jacks) that require a amp but some do have external speaker connections. You will have to refer to your manual or check the back of the set.

Am setting up a bose GSX 3-2-1 home theater

Need to know the TV connections. On newer TV's there RCA jack connection or ext speaker connections. Usually the external TV speaker connections hook to the woofer and the rest of the speakers are connected to the woofer. The woofer acts as the sound system for the rest of the speakers. With this method you need to mute the internal TV speakers by a swiich on the TV or internal TV setup menus and select ext speakers.

Connecting my HDTV to my Bose Cinemate

If your BOSE system only has one audio input you will have to connect everything to your tv and like the other guy said there will be an audio out on the back of your tv, connect that to your BOSE and when you switch inputs on your tv it should send that audio to your speaker setup.
