Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Msg said following update could not be installed: ''Security update for Microsoft Office PowerPoint version 2003 (KB956500)''
I run Windows XP Media Center Edition, version 5.1 w/ Service Pack 3 connecting with Verizon FIOS at their 2nd highest speed.
I have not been able to find a way to clear this annoying message from the computer, or install the update. Also, any eMail attachment with .pps extension will not open, although the computer says I do have PowerPoint, and File Options shows PPS as a valid extension. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and Merry Christmas! Frank
Click here to download the dialafix tool, once installed choose to Flush Software Distribution Folder. Then Click go to repair the windows update files, that will remove the update & let you install any other updates available. Which version on Powerpoint do you have Office XP, 2003 or 2007?
