Norton 360 Backup result window

Every week my Norton 360 makes a backup on an external HD. After that it displays the results on a small window, but the window is so low on my computer screen that I almost don't see it. And when I want to drag it in the middle of the screen, it's almost impossible. Is there a way to instruct Norton to display the results higher in middle.

You may be running a program like Norton 360

If you don't need the backup indicators feature you can turn it off by clicking Settings in the Norton 360 main window, disabling the Backup Status Indicators check box and clicking Close.

Are you using Windows? If you are using Windows, go to Start => Programs => Accessories => System Tools => Backup. In the backup wizard that opens, choose which backup type you want and you can choose your backup destination. Choose your Seagate Expansion external drive for your backup location so that Windows can store an image of your current system into your external drive.

Files are not backed up within Office itself. If you had the 360 backup configured to backup online, you will need to install 360 on the computer and then do a Restore from the backup module after you login to the Symantec website.

Did you backup online? Or did you backup on a second (external) drive? You can comment back.

Backup of hard drive

I use Norton Ghost 9 and I love it. Initially, it makes a complete image of your harddrive. I would purchase a good sized external harddrive and attach it via USB and use it as your backup drive.

Norton will allow you to schedule "incremental backups" as often as you like. I have mine set for every night at 1AM.

The biggest reason to use this system is if your C: drive fails, you can use Norton Ghost to completely restore your system from the backup image on a new harddrive and be up and running as if nothing happened within a few hours. No installing applcations, settings or anything. It's wonderful!

Can't backup my harddrive

I work at a computer repair shop, and we use norton ghost all the time. Its very easy to use and I would definatly reccommend it. As for a backup CD, you would need an external cd or dvd burner which costs between $50-100. Another solution is to complety wipe your hard drive and install windows fresh. This would remove all the factory installed programs as well as all your data so back it up! I hope this helped you.
