RCA TH1101 MP3 Player will not recognize a 4GB micro SD card

Does this player have the capability of recognizing a 4GB card?

Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. The e250 works with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

The Sansa e-series works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it will fit into the slot, it won't work. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

your reader does not support the 8gb device, look for firmware upgrade for the reader

Sansa c240 and a 4 GB Micro SD HC card.


Sansa C240 can only read SD cards that are NOT SDHC - that means it can only read up to a 2gb Micros SD card.

Micro sd 4gb card problems.


Check the Sansa tutorials at http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1468
to make sure you have followed all the steps first.

In my experience, every mp3 player/photo frame/etc with a card reader has a MAXIMUM memory limit for the type of card that it can read. It is possible that the Sansa player can only read 2GB Micro SD cards or smaller - and thisi nformation may not have been available when they printed the manual. If you have followed all instructions, and it still will not read the card, try switching to a 2GB Micro SD card.

My rca th1101 mp3 player does not detect my sandisk


Make sure the SD card does not have a storage capacity greater than the internal memory of the Mp3 player, or the Mp3 player will not reocgnize it in many cases.

SD card = too big for player to read. Get a smaller SD card.
