When selecting a new game, and after answering the questions given to help the DS select a Pokemon, there is a prompting to touch the screen for 'aura' selection. Specifically, it prompts "Relax.Calm yourself..." with the right arrow blinking in the communications box on the display screen. In the background colors are changing. Pressing the A button on the screen (and all other buttons over many tries) adds the following words in the communication box. "And now press your fingertip gently on the Touch Screen." After pressing the finger against the touch screen, the display screen then displays a black background and the communication box displays this. "Don't move your finger quite yet." and a down arrow blinks. You hold your finger there and nothing happens. You do that while pressing the B button and it takes you back on the display screen to the previous series of interactions. ("Relax, calm yourself..." etc.) Holding your finger on the touch screen (up to 5 minutes) does nothing.
Any help to move past this would be appreciated.

DO NOT breathe or move ur thumb/stylus after a few seconds it'll work
took me a while 2 figure out that it knows if u move or breathe

Keep ur thumb or stylus COMPLETELY still and DO NOT BREATHE the microphone will sense if u do and make u wait longer it took me a while 2 figure that out
