Make sure you have all the shipping material out of unit..4 bolts in back and styrofoam under tub if so ,then get a adjustable wrench ,,,put unit in drain spin cycle or spin cycle only..when unit gets to fastest spin ,,thats will come when its about 8 minutes left..tighten each leg lock nut on unit until unit stops vibrating..only turn the lock nut not the leg..only adjust lock nut on legs in high speed spin

6 year old front load Samsung washer seems suddenly out of balance. Leveled perfect. No load problem. Any ideas?

The tub is suspended by springs and the non rotational forces are dampened by a shock absorber. There is also something called a balancer S0058 in the diagram. After 6 years springs sag and shock absorbers can wear out, I'd start with replacing those. Get the exact model number before ordering parts; a Google search will find lots of parts sources. You may even want to call the supplier to confirm compatibility of parts.

My GE front load washer is banging during the spin cycle?

Reminds me of a old car I used to have lol

sorry about that.
Try making sure your load is spread evenly inside.
If it is then and it's perfectly level the the barrel is out of balance
you would need to pull it apart to see where it's knocking.
Sometimes it's as simple as getting a spirit level and just levelling it off both front and horizontal

I have a GE front load washer ( # WBVH5300KOWW ) purchashed 03/24/2010 that constantly gets off balance with certain loads. The drum bounces from side to side in the machine and the washer actually walks...

I dont know if it would apply to the GE brand front loader, but for a while excessive vibration was a problem with another brand and they came to find the rubber foot on bottom was made from a too hard composite and made replacment legs with a softer rubber foot and that solved the problem. Perhaps that may be so here, also they should check for a weak shock asorber/ outer tub strut

GE Front Load washer shakes whenever any type of load is put in. GE service has been out at least 4 times and say that its fine..perfectly level, etc

All front loaders shake to some extent. It depends on the balance of the load. It is especially evident in the spin cycle due to the high speeds. Also these machines are best placed on a solid cement floor. They can shake an entire house if on the first or second floor and the floors are not well reinforced.

My 3431 dryer takes too long to dry and it vibrates badly during the spin cycle.

You have two issues. The cycle time on this unui in the normal mode is 3+ hours. If it is longer than this you have a clogged condensate/dry duct which needs to be cleaned out by an LG tech. The balance thing is a matter of using a level and getting it perfectly level. Once you have done this, if it still bounces check the feet and adjust the one that is not solid on the floor while the machine is bouncing.

How to balance a front load GE washer. I bought this from a friend. It does fine when it has nothing in it, but when I put a load in, it nearly jumps off the ground. I know now that there are some type of...

Hi,

I'm not aware of any "balance things that go in the back" as you put it. if by chance you are refering to the transportation/shipping bolts, they need to be removed when the unit is in use and only neccessary for moving the washer.

Try this first **UNPLUG the unit from the wall** before calling a tech.

# 1...make sure you use "HE" detergent in any front load washer, including this one.

You can pull off the bottom service panel (2 screws) on the front of the washer and look to see the shock absorber's or the concrete counter weights aren't broken. while you're at it, pull off the top and inspect the suspension springs are intact to the cabinet/chassis.

start there

good luck

Washer turns slow loaded or not

front load machines will normaly spin slow on first part of spin cycle this helps distribute load evenly before hi speed spin also if load is extermely off balance ..a large towel with load of light fabrics will never spin to full speed due to off balance produced by wet towel hi speed spin is normaly acheived in last 3-4 min of spin cycle
