Question about Computers & Internet
I have a toshiba satellite u305 series laptop that I purchased one year ago. I have turned off automatic windows update b/c each time a driver is downloaded from windows update, there are compatiblility problems on my laptop. Toshiba techs instructed me to download drivers only from toshiba. A month ago when I attempted to download vista service pack 1, my laptop became unstable. Each time I booted up, there was an error message that said Unexpected Shutdown, Windows will not start. Neither Microsoft nor Toshiba seem to be able to give me any answers. How can I keep my laptop up to date if I cannot install the latest service packs? Why the incompatibility problems? Are there solutions to this? Thanks.
