Question about Microsoft LifeCam NX-3000 Personal Web Camera
I tried to install the webcam to my computer and I thought it worked. Then my friend wanted to chat with me on AIM instant messenger. I pressed the button on the NX-3000 and it said I hadn't installed 8.0 something. So I tried and it still wouldn't work, or I don't know what's going on. She said she could hear me over AIM but couldn't see me.
AIM is having problems with video. Try Skype or another messenger to communicate with Family and Friends. Here is info to setup Audio and Video. Send on to them also.
Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.
B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud
