If your motherboard has onboard sound then all you need to do is go to the board manufacturers website, click on support, find your model, then go to the downloads area for it. Drivers should be available there for no charge. If you are using a standalone soundcard then go to that board manufacturers website and download driver from there. Hope this helps & Happy holidays.

How do i install sound to my labtop

Hi..

You will need a software called audio driver for installing your sound card . Audio driver will tell the OS to use sound card on specified address and configurations.

You can find this sound card driver (Audio Driver) in your "Driver disc" bundled with your laptop.
Or you can find your driver from internet. Your Motherboard drivers can be downloaded from this site.
  1. On this site select your operating System .
  2. Then select Drivers.
  3. Then select Audio(Sound )Driver

Most probably your motherboard has sound card based on RealTek Technology. Then you can find corresponding drivers here

Hope this will solve your problem

In my gigabyte g41-combo mother board sound driver installed but sound is coming

i dont at all think that it is a problem. If windows 7 is not detecting your built-in via 1708s sound card then try installing the latest drivers from the gigabyte website or the via official website. If that doesn't work then try installing an add-on sound card that you can buy from anywhere.

No sound when i installed new OS

i'll be grateful if u mention the type of OS. anyway the error message is for wrong driver. rollback or uninstall the installed driver and try another if u have other drivers inside ur mainboard CD or auto update the driver from internet or other media that contains the appropriate driver. when the driver found a suit it will install automatically.

Unable to load soundcard driver

After re-installing your OS, install ALL CHIPSET DRIVERS before you install the audio drivers. You need to have the chipset drivers loaded before the Audio driver if you are using onboard sound.

Sound card

Please provide more info as does this happen when your installing OS (operating system) or when your installing drivers.

If its during os install you may have a bad copy of your os (ie scratchs or damage on cd)

If its during driver install you can get online and download drivers from manufactures site.

I require a chipset driver and audio driver for my HP laptop, 1GB ram, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 ALLADIN TNT2 (256MB), INTEL CALISTAGA i945PM chipset, WindowsXP-32bit,

Hi,
(Sounds like you have downgraded to XP :))
Try these drivers to get the sound working:
UAA Driver:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...os=228&lang=en
Sound driver:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...os=228&lang=en
Install the UAA driver first, Reboot and then install the sound Driver and reboot.
The modem driver here:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...os=228&lang=en
install and reboot.
Lan Driver:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...os=228&lang=en
Install and reboot

If you have any problems left in device manager after that:
Try this driver the Integrated Module:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...os=228&lang=en
This Driver for the Base system devices:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/g...reg_R1002_USEN

Good Luck

Chris (ziraffa)

PS If you install the LAN driver first you'll at least get internet working, then you can download the others straight onto the laptop.
