Question about Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Standard for Windows

Open Question

Can't control Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 with yoke.

I am trying to us a CH Products yoke with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002, but the yoke doesn't properly control the plane. I have contacted CH Products tech support and on the basis of their tests, they say the yoke is working properly. I have followed Microsoft's knowledge base instructions for remedying the symptoms I am experiencing, to no avail.

Hardware:
Shuttle motherboard
AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ 2.6 Ghz
2 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7025/NVIDIA nForce 630a embedded Display Adapter (I've confirmed that I am running the latest drivers)

O/S:
Windows XP Pro version 2002 Service Pack 3

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: My Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000

Hi start off by re-installing the whole game. uninstall the game properly and then run it again from the disc, also make sure the cd's surface is clean, if the problem remain after that let me know and if you get any kind of error messages let me know also.

a possible workaround for the disc verification would be to bypass it.

If the LCD is not working then it is likely that required drivers are either not working or missing. Try downloading updated drivers from the Saitek website.

Just purchased saitek yolk with throtle but its not working ,.tried calibration still does not work

I had a friend with exactly same issues, only he used a CH Flight Yoke system.

Calibration can be very tricky sometimes, and it has very often to do with how the configuration file has been set up.

You might have to rebuild your configuration file for your Flight Simulator before it will work properly.

However here is some hints for calibration fix from Saiteks UK support.

Maybe this can solve your problem, understanding how to make a valid configuration file for Flight Simulator.

Saitek pro flight yoke problem

This is a know fault on Saitek yokes that is now cured. take it back and explain that it is suffering from "Ghost button pushing" and they should change it for a unit that has been updated. This problem is well documented on the web.

I cannot create a flight on fs2004.when ever i go to fs2004 the system will shut down or go blank.

first all have you added any type of addon's like new airplanes
or scenery if you have then something there may be cousing your problem. if its an airplane go back remove that airplane. and try again
if all this fails you can reset flight sim 2004
go to Start then program files then microsoft games there you see microsoft flight simulator 2004 click on that then another box open up you see troubleshooting you notice in there rest to defaults
do not use this unless you wont reset it all to defaults settings. if this does not cure the problem then a reinstall of flight sim is needed. if you need any more help please ask

On saitek yoke system it wont work on fsx *flight simulator x* if you can help thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ensure you have installed the drivers for it. If you don't have them, go to Saitek web site, download and install the correct one's for your operating system. Also ensure that the yoke is plugged into the USB port on the rear of the PC as these USB sockets give the most power. Additionally, you have to set the yoke up in FSX\Settings so it knows what to do with it with regard to calibrating it and assigning what buttons do what.

MS FSX -view keeps switching from cockpit to spot view

The most likely problem here is that you have multiple assignments for the view change command set to multiple controllers hooked up to the system. They are conflicting with each other causing random view changes.

Firstly, go into Windows Control Panel and to Game Controllers. Remove any controllers listed in that box that are not currently connected or being used in your flight simulator.

Next, go into FSX, into the control assignments section...
Go through each controller in the drop down box (in the button/keys tab) and ensure only one controller has the assignment for view changes assigned.
