I Have a N80 Coil Nailer. It was given to me without the manual. I down loaded a manual, however it is not clear how to set the nail depth. Can you advise?

Bostitch nailers used three methods to adjust how deep the nail will set. On stick nailer, there are one or two screws on the lower contact arm allows you to shift up or down. On coil nailers and others , there is thumb screw on side or under the trigger. Finally on some coil nailers, there was a series of spacers that snapped onto nose of the gun. Good luck

Nail won't set to allow tongue to enter groove

Your nailer has variable sized plates /shoes bolted to the bottom. I believe that there are about three different thickness available. Take a look at the link below for a parts list showing the sizes available. For a quick fix to drive the cleat deeper, use a thinner bumper below the head of where you strike the nailer. If you manually push down the striker, you can see how much of the driver comes out the bottom. The bumper below the head (black rubber washer) cushions the striker against the body of the nailer. A thinner bumper (you must be creative here) will allow the driver to extend out slightly more. Good luck with your flooring projects.

GOT BAD AIR LEAK WEN I PLUG IT IN.

Under the cap there are several o-rings, seals, gaskets and seats that have to be in good shape to hold air in so the nailer can work properly. If any of them are worn, broke or dried up the nailer won't function and can leak. First try tightening the cap screws. If that doesn't do it, take the cover off and check the parts inside. Stanley doesn't make repair kits for this nailer so you'll have to identify what parts need replacing and order them seperately. I recommend replacing all o-rings and any damaged seals or seats that need it. You can go to www.bostitch.com or www.ereplacementparts.com to find parts among many other aftermarket parts dealers.

Stanley Bostitch Coil Framing nailer blows head off of nail?

Make sure that when you run with one gun that your psi is between 90-110. You may need a kit. Is it an RN45 or 46? Go to Stanley Bostitch online and look up parts and schematics. Kits should only be about 15-20 dollars, easy to put in, and come with instructions. Lemme know. Please rate me
