Up to about 160mm for average blood pressure-up to 210mm for elevated Blood pressure. As the pressure lets down it will squeeze several times as it calibrates itself. Hope this helps.

Wristech blood pressure Moniter Model # HL-168

1) Try to get the band as tight around your wrist as you can with the sensor part of the strap across your wrist nearest the palm of your hand, and try it again.
2) Try changing the batteries. They sometimes start to error like this before the batteries show as weak/dead.

I take it the device is either auto or manual. If it uses batteries, they may be exhausted. Or, there is a valve that may be open. It looks like a shiny metal thing near the bulb. Or that valve might be defective, and it just doesn't shut properly. If that's the case, it should hiss a little bit.

The hose might not be screwed together tightly. There are inexpensive, accurate wrist cuffs for blood-pressure monitoring that work very well. If none of this works, you might pick up one of those.

When the blood pressure monitor reads E- error. What is the reason? Not keeping the wrist still?

It depends on which E-error you're getting.

EE - indicates several things:
  • Cuff has been placed incorrectly. Always place cuff on wrist 1" above heal of hand.
  • Did you talk or move during measurement?
  • Shaking of the wrist with the cuff ON.
E1 - Air circuit abnormality. Measure again.

E2 - Inflation pressure exceeding 300 mmHg. Switch the unit OFF.Wait 1 minute, then measure again.

E3 - Error determining measurement data. Measure again.

Hope this helped you to determine which Error you're receiving. Please let me know.

I have a blood pressure sphygmomanometer, how do you take a blood pressure reading and what is normal?

Much easier to go to a store, like Walgreens and get an inexpensive ( like 15 dollars) automatic wrist cuff blood pressure monitor, that will give you accurate and quick readings of your heart rate, and blood pressure, systolic and diastolic, automatically.

While squeezing the bulb it deflates and it is almost impossible to get the numbers to 140. Then it counts and stops at 6 or 7.

Be sure you are sufficiently tightening the air release valve on the side of the bulb assembly. If that's not the case, there is probably a small pin hole in either the rubber tubing, the bulb or the bladder of the cuff.. Also, make sure that all tubing connections are pushed on tight to their respective fittings and that the outer ring of the gauge is tight.

Hope this helped to solve your problem.

My bp monitor 04-203-001. Inflation bulb doesn't inflate after I squeeze it, fast enough to build up enough pressure for a reading. Bad release valve maybe. Need cheap fix..

The valve is the problem. The valve release the pressure quickly so when you squeeze it gets released. You have to just take apart the valve. There is no need for change of valve.Keep some thin paper at the tip of the valve screw and turn the valve.Check the bulb is properly closed.

post a comment for further assistance.
Thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

Start working but it does give me result said error.

Make sure that your wrist is a heart level, that is the best way to get a wrist reading..... Also, check your batteries, SOME times it can cause the error, but most often it is the level of the wrist to your heart

    Need instruction manual

Homedics makes several units that are virtually identical to the Walgreen counterparts. Why not try the Homedics web site? It has a support section. Be sure to list your model number as there are several wrist cuff models. If the web site doesn't help, either call Homedics or try a web search by listing your model number followed by 'manual'. I would have tried to find the manual for you but I don't know the model number. Good luck.

My bulb deflates after one squeeze.

you may want to check to see if the holes is connected tightly to the cuff on both ends and you need to check the bulb if it has a knob on it because some bulbs have numbers on them which can be set to release air and you want to make sure that it has a proper setting on and if that is not it then you may need a new bulb, i did. i hope this works for you and good luck!
