If memory serves you will need to have the dealership (or darned good mechanic for a Mitsubishi) to electronically "reset" (reboot) your Modulator Interface (I don't know the Mitsubishi name for this part). In other words, you need a "car geek"? lol... Good luck!

SOURCE: Engine vibration in pajero io 1999 when stopping

hi i have a pajero io 1998 model GDI. automatic transmission. its hard an engine vibrating and rattling problem. when you put it in drive or neutral the engine starts vibrating vigorously.i know its not the engine mountings as i got those checked so i suspect the idling. i need to find out if anyone else out there has had the same probnlem and if they found a solution?

had same problem with my peugeot had it on computer told me injectors are fuel pump after a lot off work and money was catalic stuffed up with soot cut it off put a straight pipe on car back 2 normal check your cat?

If you do not see any obvious leaks or puddles under the car, you may have a head gasket leak. A compression test will find this. Any good mechanic will be able to do this test.

a few things could be the cause , one is glow plugs , two is injectors are dirty which usually gives black smoke out exhaust , three is injection pump leaking , and four dirty fuel filter . these are things I would check .
