Hi mate,

You have to download the latest driver for your sound card for it to have the 5.1 support. For instance, I had to download the RealTek driver pack and install it, then double click the red Realtek icon in the bottom right hand corner of my screen, and go to advanced settings and set the preferences for each speaker and each of the 3 input ports on my computers sound card.

If you have a Realtek card then, you want the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver R2.11, you can find it here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/173933659/WDM_R211.zip

and the Vista one is here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/173930788/Vista_R211.zip

That's for my setup though, if you have a Soundblaster card, it'll be the newest Creative driver you want..
Figure out which one you have from your device manager in the system part of the control panel and then google search for the card brand followed by the word 'driver', and check the download page to make sure it supports your card's model number.

Good luck

I have reinstalled my pc and my logitech x-530 speakers don't work, j have lost the driver cd and I can't find any software online, how can I get my speakers work?

Your speaker should work fine as long as you install the sound drivers for your computer. You said you lost your driver cd. Take a look on your PC manufacturer's website and make sure that your pc audio drivers are properly installed.
To check this, go to Device manager and check if you see any audio devices installed.

I have lost the cd rom which i need to get sound from the speakers is there anything else i can do

You can try to download the drivers from the Logitech website, or if the Cd-rom came with your computer, you can always try to find a backup copy of it from your hard drive. Usually the manufacturer of the computer sets up a backup copy of the installation disc to the hard drive. There's also a dangerous solution; you can download the drivers from a website which shares drivers from any manufacturer. These drivers might contain Malware, viruses and other dangerous software, which might damage your computer. You can also try to find an alternate driver, which resembles the Logitech X-530 driver.

Need drivers for my Logitech X-530 speakers

Generally speakers do NOT use drivers. They are simply an output device. Check this page:

I lost my driveras for my x-530 logitec sound system. I need to re-install the drivers to make them work. they cam with a wizard that helped to set them up

Download the latest drivers for your sound card because speakers are analog and do not require drivers. The sound card is in charge of all of the sound drivers.

Lost my disc and need to re-install on a new

i don't believe you need a disk to install the speakers. speakers are a plug-and-play device, and all you need is a surround sound capable audio driver and software. color coding is as follows; black to blue, green to green, yellow to pink

No sound after installing the x-530 speakers

To install the driver you use the installation disk that came with the speakers. If you do not have this disk you can go to the Logitech website under the support section, look up your product and download the software/drivers. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.
