Have checked to see if they are muted? Right click on the little speaker icon iin the bottom right corner of the screen. If the mute box is checked, click on it to un-check it.

I have a Pioneer VSX 452 receiver. I am trying to run a second set of speakers off the b channel and use the a and b switches on the front of the receiver. If only the a channel is depressed the two...

Hello,
Thanks for the detailed explanation...
It seems to be there is a short or misplaced (+) (-) leads on the speaker connection you made..sometimes a tiny cable piece can make a short in between the leads and cause such problem..My recommendation is:
** take all the wires off..
** install only B speaker leads and test it..( make sure LEFT and RIGHT (+) and (-) leads properly
and individually connected to the right places on the back......it is important...This causes balancing problem..
** if it works fine...
** than go ahead and install the A speaker leads..and test it..
if you do everything properly both A and B speakers should work fine as independently ...

Take care and if it succeeds please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up
for Helping out the Community :)

Hope this helps!

Weird surround sound speaker behavior with Denon 2105 7.1

Sounds interesting.
It may sound silly, but can you check all your speaker cables again and confirm whether they are connected to the right connections. please check all cables as also the severed one and please repair it also.

Now please go to the system-set-up and do an auto setup and set up your speakers. Listen to the test tones and confirm that they are coming out of the correct speaker.

Once these are set, then if still there is mismatch of sounds, then we could further trouble shoot.

Speakeres killer

Are you paying attention to the power rating of your speakers? Your receiver has a high power capability and would be quite capable of destroying speakers with inadequate power handling capabilities.

By the way, the Tivoli was a great place to be in 1963 for a young guy!
Hope it still is . . .

Speakers

twonames- well it all depends on what your receiver takes for a load, look on the back and most of the time the speaker impedence is marked. If you don,t see any then I would suggest 8 ~16 ohms. This is generally the average range, hope this helps you . cooltek Mar,15/08
