How can I scan to email. I can scan and reprint plus I can scan to memory card

To use this feature in Windows, a destination must be programmed in the scan setup before scanning to a destination. See Set up the product Scan To button.

Load the originals that are to be scanned face-up in the automatic document feeder (ADF) input tray, with the top of the document forward, and adjust the media guides.

Lift the flatbed scanner lid and load the original that is to be scanned face-down on the flatbed scanner with the top, left corner of the document located in the lower-right corner of the glass. Gently close the lid.

On the product control panel, press Scan To.
Use the arrow buttons to select a file destination.
Press Start Scan or OK to scan the document to a file.

Scanning to e-mail is supported by any e-mail program that supports the Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) protocol. Many versions of popular e-mail programs seem to be MAPI-compliant. See the support information for your e-mail program to determine whether or not it is MAPI-compliant.

Can not insert destination for scans in the settings area

I am not sure I understand your problem, however I would like to address the method in which one would put scan destinations into the "empty box" for the printer's "scanner setup."

When setting up your scans, you will get to the screen where you have two boxes; on the left, the applications that your computer has available for using with the "scan to" function, and the right hand box, which usually is initially empty.

Highlight the application in the left box that you would like to have as a "scan to" option on the printer's control panel. Click the <Add> button to make this selection also appear in the right hand box. Continue for each "scan to" option that you would like to see on your printer/scanner. Click <Save>.

Now when you use the scan button on your printer's control panel, the "scan to" options you created above should be available on your OfficeJet Pro.

I hope this helps!

I have lost my connection for the scan portion of the copier to my computer. How do I check this or what do I need to do?

hi
you will have to ensure that the scan file utility is loaded and active.

try the following from your desktop

start
all programs

you should see scan file utility or similar, it may also show up as kyocera mita

run your curser over it and left click on whatever comes up next

you have now activated the program

next

start
run
type in cmd
enter

type in ipconfig when you see the dos prompt

write down the IP address  and exit

go to your copier and get the IP address for the scanner

you will get this in the scanner default area

access will depend on the model of your copier

the generic password is 6482

go to yourinternet browser and type in the scanner IP in the address bar and enter

the IP address listed under your name should be the same as you wrote down before, if not change it.

if you continually lose the scan function you will have to use the computer host name as a destination

Scanner

to be able to scan to pc you have to have the scan file utility set up on the pc

the scan file utility is on the CD that came with the copier.
you can Google the file if need be

when you have loaded the file you will need to go to
start, all programs, kyocera (scanner file utility and open it

once in configuration you will need to do the following

select setup
on the top you will see a box, type in 001
file destination, you should hit the box next to this and select kyocera/scan file

press ok and you are done

Next
get the ip address of the scanner, you will find this in scanner default when you have pressed thecounter/system menu button

get back into normal copy mode

on your web browser type the scanner ip into the address bar and you will get into the scanner command center

press the start icon bottom left of your desktop, go to run and type in cmd

once in dos mode type in ipconfig, this will give tou the destination address for your scans

now back to the command center, select sender info (left side menu) and type in kyocera after selecting 001 (blue numbers) and submit

then go to destination setup (scan to pc) and under 001 (blue) enter the relavent info, the address will be your pc's ip address.

say no to all password requests

and submit

very important now is to close the browser as you cannot scan when the command center is open

Printer shows offline/Scanner has no destination list

You must program the email addresses in the machine address book, so that you will have a destination list to scan to email.
You can also try to scan by pressing the Scanner button to access the scanner function and input the email address manually by selecting manual, and then press the Start button to scan the document.

Are you getting a NO SCAN OPTION

If you are getting this message when you are trying to scan from the All-In-One.
And If the software is successfully installed in your computer, then you should have a icon in your desktop as HP Solution /HP Director (if not got to Start> All Programs>
HP> HP Solution Center)/HP Director Then try scanning from there, if you are able to scan from there then try the steps bellow.
Open solution center> Settings> Scan settings> Scan to setup> Then in this window click on Restore defaults> Then apply or ok and close all the windows and try to scan from the
All-In-One printer.
If it still does not work then try the bellow steps:
Go to:
My computer>C:windows>system32
Copy hpzipm12
minimize this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
minimize this window.
Go back to My computer>C:>windows>system32
Copy hpzinw12
minimize this window

Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Now you will see two new files in Startup
Now go to My Computer>C:Program Files>HP>Digital Imaging>bin>
Copy hpqtra08
close this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Restart the computer
Open Hp Solution Center> Settings>Scan settings and preferences> Scan to button>
check destination list> if available applications are not in the destination list then add them in the front panel destination
Tried to scan.

If the software is not installed then you will have to install the printer driver and software sucessfully first.
