I have hp 530 laptop. The seller did not give me the Windows CD for this product. I have installed Windows XP 2007. It became corrupt. So I formated the hard-disk, and installed it again.
Now my laptop does not run audio programs. Previously, i searched the drivers from internet, and the system searched & downloaded them automatically. But this time, I have tried a lot and could not succeed.
Please suggest me what should i do? My MediaPlayer also does not run. It requires a DVD Decoder.
Following drivers/ devices are required:
Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus
Modem device on High Definition Audio Bus
Kindly tell me how can i get them, and retain them for future use so that i don't face same problem again.

You need the Recovery CD for your model HP laptop or a Windows XP installation CD plus the product installation code. The product installation code is printed on the Windows XP label that is attached to the bottom of your laptop.
It is only Windows 7 that gives you sound after formatting.
Meanwhile try this www.google.com to search for your Laptop product and model support e.g. "HP 530 Support".
Then locate the official website of your laptop to download the sound after confirming your operating system (e.g Windows XP Professionals).
1 - Place CD in the Drive 2 - Restart PC and go into Bios by pressing Del, F2 or whatever instruction the start up screen says.
3 - Go to Boot configuration and set it to Boot from CD 4 - Save and Exit 5 - Follow onscreen instructions untill you get to the Windows install screen. 6 - You may have to create a partition (Drive Letter) on your hard drive if nothing was there before, you can assign as much hard drive space as you want to this. If your not sure just use all the space available. This will be your C drive. 7 - Pick the drive you just created and install windows on it using the on screen menu. It will ask you if to format the drive, say yes and use NTFS not FAT as NTFS has more features. 8 - Just say yes to all questions asked after this point.
When windows is installed it will ask you for a CD key and to activate by going on the net, I'm afraid I can't help you with this.
Place cd into drive.Keep pressing enter until the computer reads the cd.Follow the directions on the screen. That is all their is too it. How did you get an HP without an operating system having been installed?
thsi is a windows disk, correct? Not a reinstall disk?Should work the same either way. If it gives yuo an error or doesn;t work please tell us what happened and we will direct you more. Thanks
