If it has a timer, then make sure it is set to manual, and not auto, otherwise the oven will not come on.
What usually happens is, if you have a power cut, or switch the oven off, then the timer automatially goes to auto when the power is on again.
Just to let you know that i have solved the problem with my cooker, (clock flashing after electric going off) i held down the cook period button and the end time button, then i was able to reset the clock by pressing the +button.
1. Set the oven to the required temperature. 2. Press the g button. 3. Set the total cooking time with the + button (see the example in the illustration right, showing 1 hour and 30 minutes). 4. Press the h button. 5. Set the cooking finish time with the + button (the example in the illustration shows 12.30 hrs.). After setting the display shows the time of day and indicates »AUTO«. ❑ The oven cooling fan will start immediatley. ❑ At the pre-set time, the oven will be automatically switched ON. ❑ The settings can be corrected at any time. ❑ When the pre-set cooking finish time is reached, a signal sounds and the oven is automatically switched OFF. To turn the signal off, briefly press the h button. 6. Turn the oven selector switch to the 0 position. 7. The »AUTO« symbol blinks. Important: It must be switched OFF by pressing the E button.
If your oven has timer and it is flashing AUTO then you need to reset it to manual for it to work.
If no timer then it could be a faulty door micro switch, located at the front left side..\Hope this helps, please leave feed back.
Thanks
Hi,
While it is flashing auto ,you will not get the oven to heat up.
You must press the timer buttons in the correcf sequence to cancel auto.Refer to user hand book.
If you suceed with this, and the oven still does not get hot, then the element has probably failed.
Thanks very much, had to be something daft, great stuff it worked!!!!!!!!!!!
