Try taking out the memory card and putting it back in. If that doesn't work, try using a different memory card to see if that is where the issue lies. Also try to refer to the device manual for technical support: Panasonic DMC F2 manual
THE SOLUTION REMOVE YOUR MEMORY CARD FROM CELL PHONE THEN PUT BATTERY

It is possible that the phone hangs up because there are errors in the memory card/software. So to reset remove the battery and the memory card from the phone. Using your PC , scan the memory card for any corrupt files or media files with virus- it is possible when they are downloaded from unsafe sites. If so remove or format the card. Now replace the card and battery and switch on the phone. If the phone hangs up then it is confirmed that the software is corrupt and will need a reinstallation. Seeking help from the authorized service /support centre is most ideal. Take estimate and decide.
You don't say what make or model of camera or the size of the memory card, so I am going to have to do some guessing.
My guess is that the memory card is incompatible with the camera. That would explain why the card is not recognised and why the camera cannot format it (it tries to, but hangs). Maybe it is having trouble with the size of the memory. Memory cards have grown enormously in capacity in the last couple of years, and even relatively new cameras may not be able to cope with the memory size of the newest cards. It is often difficult to find out the maximum capacity memory card a camera will use, as today's cards are much larger that those available when the manual for the camera was written.
There is a common problem with SD cards. "SD" cards larger than about 1GB are actually SDHC cards. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different electrically. Many cameras won't work with SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.
From the settings menu, choose phone settings, then Memory Manager.then handset common memory. Chances are, this will nearly all be used up. Move any pictures, video, music etc from the internal memory to the external memory card using the My Stuff application, then move to external memory. This should solve the problem & any new photos will be stored on the external card. When theinternal memory gets full, the Renoir does funny things!!
1. Apple users have reported that the switch on the memory cards performs the file lock function in either extreme positions Lock/Unlock. In some cases they have achieved success in centering the Lock/Unlock switch allowing access to the read/write operation of the memory card
2. Connect to PC
Access drive via windows explorer
Right click on drive (MEMORY CARD)
Confirm that RO (Read Only) is not selected.
Try reading card
Repeat properties un-select RO
Try deleting files
jha - you could be having a problem with the memory card, you could try a new m2 card and see if it hangs if it does not it was the card but if it still hangs with a new card then you should try and reflash the firmware on the phone.....to fix it...you can do this online at topsony.com or at a mobile service center.
see there can be 2 reasons. firstly that your memory card is not in the good state anymore. secondly, this cell supports upto 2 gb memory card.so you should not go with 2gb i.e it's max. capacity, instead u go for 1 gb card.it wont create any problem. you should not use the memory card of the max. capacity which ur mobile supports as most of the times it creates problems like this and even keeps on hanging frequently.
