Question about Samsung YP-T9JAB Digital Media Player

My new MP3 Player won't let me store 1000 songs, like it should

My new "Base GK915" MP3 Player is supposed to allow me to store 1000 songs on it (either mp3 or wma files), but after 116 - 120 songs have been stored, it begins saying "Cannot copy (song title). The directory or file cannot be created." I have tried using the Software CD, which came with the MP3 player to fix the problem, but it has not worked and neither has anything else I have tried.

Try when you load it into the computer where you place songs into mp3 try crteating a folder first and nick name it classic, pop, rock what ever you choose. then load your songs into the folders ok that works on most mp3s goodluck!

Have 1000 songs on it and its full. was told it held 3000?

The specs may be correct provided you only store songs on your player. If you also stored pictures and movies then this leaves less space for songs.

Arent I supposed to be able to get more than 10-12 songs on my ds-2207 1g mp3 player?

a 1Gb MP3 can normally store ten albums or more.

Checkl that the songs are in MP3 format, if there is no way to store more than 10/12 mp3s on a 1 GB player, then try formatting the MP3 by using the menu

How do i delete songs from my mp3 player?

Mp3 Players rarely if ever hold as many songs as they advertise - the numbers on the box, spec sheets are "ideal" numbers based on unrealistic 2-minute long songs all in mp3 ultra-compressed format. Although there are exceptions, I have found that, in general, 6GB = 1000 songs, 2GB = 400 songs, 1 GB = 200 songs. Very long audio files, audio books, etc will throw these numbers WAY off.

MyMusix's PD-6030:
If you are using Windows Media Player 11, go to the sync tab and make sure it is displaying only the files on your Mp3 player, and not every file stored on your Computer's hard drive. Click once on a song you want to delete, and then hit the delete button on your computer's keyboard.
If your not using Windows Media Player 11, then read pp. 17-20 of your user's manual, available at www.mymusix.com
