The best way to do this is to use Visual C++ or .NET's C# and use an image object to hold the binary image data as you address/manipulate it. If you are doing this as a web-based application, then ASP.NET using C# is the way to go, again using an image object.
There are many helpful developer site for the beginner through expert that can walk you through the use of an image object. There are also many variants of the image object and you'll have to decide which one best suits your needs. Start with the generic one to get your base code loading and addressing the image and go from there.
Here's a good starting point.
Hope this helps.

How to use Notepad++vs6.4.2

The easiest way to open a new document is to press Ctrl and N together. Then press Ctrl + S to save the file. The default title will be new with a number. Press Ctrl+Alt+S to get the File Save As option to rename your document. Use the Find and replace command to remove the desired text (Ctrl+H from the keyboad). NotePad++ can have a Menu Bar and Tool Bar displayed or hide them. Many like to use the keyboard commands and hide the toolbars. If the Menu Bar is open, File > New. From the Tools bar, click on the page symbol with the green + on the left side of the bar.
The full manual is available as a compressed PDF or a compressed HTML file. See: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/notepad-plus/index.php?title=NP%2B%2B_Guides . For either file, you will need to use your preferred zip program to extract the file. (In most Windows versions, right click on the file after saving it to the Desktop or your Downloads directory and choose Extract All.) Then use Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the PDF manual. Use your preferred browser to read the HTML version. A full list of the keyboard commands is available here: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/notepad-plus/index.php?title=Keyboard_And_Mouse_Shortcuts .
Nearly any editor will do what you want to do. In Windows, the Notepad may not hold enough lines for this. WordPad probably would work (that's the default .DOC reader). Just remember to save as plain text if you don't want to have an Rich Text Formatted document.
I hope this helps.

I recorded many pictures on floppy disc when I was using AOL. Now using a different service and I cannot view the images. How can I uncompress the images ?

You can use an Older Version of Iinternet Explorer to Open the .ART files, and then Save them As BMP or JPEGS.
Here is a Site which has a free Download of a Standalone IE browser.
http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE
it supports installing older versions such as IE3 and IE4.
The New version of IE disable .ART support as it has been classified as a potential security risk.
or you can purchase a product such as ACDSEE

HOW 2 OPEN RUNTIME PDF FILE IN VB 6.0?

A pdf file is a text document and can't be 'opened' as such in VB. Try copying all the text in the pdf file, open VB, start new project, and paste.

.ear or .war files

There's no easy answer to these as there are too many variables to consider. The first issue is to correct you on one point - HTML and JSP files cannot be made into an "executable file" (like a Windows .exe file) but must be placed onto a web server that can process JSP files.

The most common JSP web server is called Tomcat and can be downloaded for free from http://tomcat.apache.org. This application will allow you to run your project on your local computer or network but it is unlikely (difficult or not possible depending on your ISP) you will be able to make this accessible to other Internet users. This is usually only good for testing to see if your application works properly (which you should do before putting it on the Internet)

If want other people to access your web project you will need to find a commercial hosting provider that allows you to host JSP-based websites. These are actually not so common so you will have to look around the Web to find a good one at a good price.

As far as using Tomcat web server is concerned I would refer you to the manual at the website you downloaded it from. With JSP projects it is not always as easy as copying your files to the server and having it work straight away - sometimes you need other library files and sometimes you need to configure the server correctly with details about your web application - all depending on how you created your JSP project (which I don't know enough about).

If you haven't already, I recommend using the free Netbeans application from http://www.netbeans.org to develop your JSP projects as it makes it much easier, comes with a built in JSP web server and there are a lot of good tutorials and instructions at their website to make it easy to get your web application up and running.

Once you get over the initial problem of how to run JSP web applications, using JSP is a lot of fun and very powerful.

Let me know how you get on or if you need any more help.

I have a hand written documents which is scanned and stored in a pdf format. i want to write coding to read this pdf file and convert the scanned text into normal text. is it possible using java. please...

No and here's why... Java is a programming language; its purpose is to be used to create programs that do useful things, but it is not equipped to do the complex analyses required to convert images to text. What you need is an OCR "image to text" conversion software application. Java is not such an application; it is a programming language meant to be used by programmers in a "platform independent context" (usually the World Wide Web). I suggest searching Google for what you need using these keyword strings: OCR image-to-text software. OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition.

Note that performing OCR on handwritten text is particularly difficult because it is so non-uniform (irregular). Here is a link that may be helpful in your quest for what is on its face at least by the way you asked, a very difficult process: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Office-tools/Other-Office-Tools/OCR-Image-to-Text-Conversion-Tool.shtml.

As one of my best programming professors (who taught me Java) used to say, "Yes, anything is possible in creating a computer program, but only if you have enough what? Skills, money and time to get the job done! Don't forget: time is money, so you know, don't bite off more than you can chew."

RoboHelp HTML -- cannot check out image

By "check out" image, what do you mean? If you mean it does not display, filenames are case sensitive, so make sure the HTML code correctly calls the .gif file with the right case.
