Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
The DS was is sleep mode after working fine for about an hour of playing fine (and playing fine for about 2 years prior), and after taking it out of sleep mode it turned off. When I plug it in to my charger, it gives me the orange light for about a second and then disappears. I have tried taking the battery out and cleaning it to no avail. I have also taken the DS apart and checked both the F1 and F2 fuses, but they were both still working. They mobo doesn't have any water spills on it, so what could be the problem?

This can sometimes be caused by the single smt capacitor on the board in the top half that the screen cables plug in to. Try replacing the cap or the entire board.

SOURCE: spilled coke on nintendo ds
Sometimes these things happen and the only way for you to fix it at home is remove the game, and let it dry out for a few days then try it again, BUT DO NOT TRY TURNING IT ON UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY DRY or this will fry the circut board. If this does not work you will have to take it to a place to have it fixed.
