SOURCE: you just sent me a

Well, I don't think FixYa sent you the new replacement, but it was supposed to be sent by Kodak I guess. Anyway, here's the instructions on how to remove/install or in other words, how to replace the printhead.

  1. Verify that the printer is turned on and there are no error conditions.
  2. Open the printer access door and allow the printhead carriage to move to the center position.
  3. Remove the black and color ink cartridges.
  4. Disconnect the printhead by pressing the button in the upper-left corner of the carriage, then remove the printhead.nonontech_386.jpg
  5. Insert the printhead into the carriage.
  6. Place your thumb over the target label and push in firmly with your right thumb until you hear a loud snap.
  7. Check that the latch captures the printhead.nonontech_387.jpg
  8. Insert the color ink cartridge into the printhead.
  9. Press down on the color ink cartridge until you hear it click into position.
  10. Repeat Steps 8-9 for the black ink cartridge.
  11. Close the printhead access door.
*Follow upto step 5 to remove the printhead, I just included the remaining steps for your information.
Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

SOURCE: How do you remove the printhead of a Kodak EasyShare 5300 printer?

Clarification: Remove tanks(cartridges)first. You see the bullseye target with a finger pointing to it.
Above the bullseye sticker, there's a rectangular button. Press it in until printhead dislodges.

SOURCE: i have just bought a

Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Www kodak com go aiosupport

Several things could cause a printhead jam. Check to make sure the bar is clean and that no pieces of any stick on labels are stuck to the wrong places, next, make sure your cartriges are properly seated, if all else fails, you can see if the print head can move at all or if it seems to be sticking to the steel bar that holds the print head. if the print head is sticking to the bar, DO NOT OIL THE BAR. you can place a drop of lighter fluid on each side of the print head to lube the bar. There is a bronze bushing in the print head and it will absorbe oil and lighter fluid is a very fine cleaner lub. But do remember that it is also very flammable.

Hi..

Try here
http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/service/manuals/AiOPrinters/printhead/AUR1780-9_UE_RevC.pdf

You can find illustrated instructions on how to remove the old printhead, as well as on how to put the new printhead back in place.

You can easily go to that website by going to:
www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport

and selecting the second option "installing new printhead".

Its saying paper jam when iv only just installed it and i have not evan put any paer in yet. help me please this is a kodak esp.3

Hello,

It means it has "paper jam"error message. This is a common issue w/ the ESP printers of Kodak especially if its brand new.

Try the steps below.

1.Open the printer access door.
2.Remove the black and color ink cartridges.
3.Reseat the printhead.

a. Lift the printhead release latch
b. Reseat the printhead, pushing firmly on the white label on the printhead (if provided) or the center of the printhead, until it clicks into place.

NOTE: You may also visit www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport for demonstration on reintalling the printhead

4. Close the access door.
5. wait for the printer to initialize.

If issue persists, the printer itself needs to be replaced. Call 1.800.421.6699

Thanks

THE COLORS OUR NOT RIGHT

You mean you replaced the ink cartridges, since the printhead can only be replaced from the kodak tech support because it is not for sale.

What you need to do is to call them or go to kodak.com/go/aiosupport to have your real Printhead replaced (this is where the ink cartridges go) because that is causing the issue.
