Question about Trust SpaceCam 100 Webcam
Video captures, it saves as a microsoft AVI extension. The Windows media player does not recognize the extension. The file saves, but there is no sound. The video plays, Mic is plugged in and system sees it as a line. Or a mic. I set the options for both one at a time. Set option to capture audio. It still will not play audio.
The second question is how do i send to another computer over the internet so I can talk with my family.
Try vlc player
use zoom to talk to your family overseas it is awesome or
skype for video conferencing.

I had this problem with a Sweex webcam, because the drivers wouldn't install properly using the official installer. I got Windows (Windows XP) to install the files instead:
1. Uninstall any official software that came with the webcam
2. Plug the webcam in, and when the New Hardware Wizard pops up, tell it that you'll use Windows Update. However, on the next screen, tell it to browse in a specific location (advanced users).
3. Browse to the folder where the files are located. Choose the one for Windows XP, assuming that's what you're using.
4. Let it search, and if you need to confirm the certification, do that. Now the webcam should work - fingers crossed!

Make sure your webcam mic is set as default so it operates alongside the webcam
Right click on speaker icon in System Tray or from Control Panel
Select "Playback Devices"
The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible
Right click on the volume graph and click "Test"
Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard
SET DEFAULT & TEST MIC
Click "Recording" tab.
To set required (webcam) mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties"
In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click 'OK'
Click "Levels" tab and ramp up sliders ( adjust to suit later)
Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays

REMOVE the device from your system to include the software. Do not install the camera physically until you install the software. When the software is installed, wait until prompted to connect the camera or until after you restart the system. ALWAYS install your software first or you risk the chance of never getting the process to work correctly.
