If you got an old tv on Pal 50 then you need to get a new TV on Pal 60. Microsoft has made us all upgrade our TV's. Pain in the arse and costs loads of money to play the best gammes

Dude me to. i have a perfectly working t.v in my conservatory which plays my xbox fine but its freezing in there. so i got a new smaller t.v from my dad and when i i turn it on all works fine except screen is slightly fuzzy and black and white. i change my xbox to pal 50 and everything is in colour! except my modern warfare 2 wont play in pal 50. does any know if it is possible to play mw2 in pal 50? or make it so my t.v can operate in pal 60.?

I have a TV so old, it doesnt even have any scart or rgb sockets. I used a VCR with a scart input and plugged my xbox 360 into that to get it to work, but it still didnt work on pal60.
i found a knob on the front that if i turned it, it would make the tv go funny and repeat going down, i turned it to pal60 and adjusted it and it works fine, only problem now is that when i turn it back to pal50, it repeats going up, which just means a quick turn of the knob and its all fixed.
Hope you have one of those knobs, i like knobs. ;)

The monitor cannot be changed by the user. It depends on the powerline frequency (50 or 60 Hz). PAL or NTSC has nothing to do with the monitor. It is important when playing back a video file (or DVD). There are programs that will transcode a video, but that does not seem to be what you need to do. Please state your problem more clearly if you need more help.
