Most any programmable VHF FM 2-way radio should be capable of 154.570 (blue dot) frequency. In the Motorola line the least expensive new unit would be one of the following CP100, CP110, or the consumer division product RDX. These typically start at around $169 new. However, used are in an abundant supply on eBay.

Were do i sell a bunch of ham radio equipment

Ham radio fests, Craigs list, local ham club. Maybe a CERT type of group (citizens emergency response team). We have those and they use ham radios. Also try emergency services in your county. You will never get what you paid....Used Ham gear goes cheap.

We currently have a fleet of 12 MagOne BPR40's. They need to be cleaned, but I'm not sure how to clean them, or even how to take them apart. Any suggestions??

At our repair shop we use a very mld cleaner that we get at a local "dollar" store. I think because it is so cheap it isn't strong enough to hurt anything. We spray them from afar with a light mist and then use a old toothbrush to scrub tough areas. Michael

I have the motorola xv1100 vhf i cant hear my other radio unless i hold down the monitor button for open Squelch .they transmit both fine.thanks rob

It is likely, the Interference Eliminator Code set differently between the radios. If you can hear after you press the monitor button, this indicates one of the radios has Code shut off (zero), and the other one has it set to a number. Here is a link to the user guide http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/XTN_Series_User_Manual_E.pdf Programming instructions begin on page 32.

Best regards.

Maybe with the drop the radio speake is out of place, did try to open the radio and find if the speaker is in its correct place? The speaker uses a spring connector and this can be out of place. Good luck

New Battery

check Ebay.....there were a few sellers that sold those and extra batteries. I own a set an I pai $25.00 for a pair on ebay new...you actually might find a used set for really cheap on there that would have decent batteries in it. Unfortunatly I can't remember the voltage of those small batteries. If you can find a battery of the same voltage/type of rechangeable, that will fit into that small area/case, you can just wire it up to be used. Check Ebay.... they are really cheap on there.... contact one of the sellers to see if they stock them. You can also check the Xact website or get ahold of one of their reps for recommendations if your really stuck. Take care

Motorola Talkabout T6500 will not transmit.

Are you sure the batteries are ok?, try to change the batery, check the radio battery contacts, verify if when you press the ptt, appear an icon on the display that correspond to TX function. Try to use an audio accesory to TX, if all this fail, you should replace it. Good luck
