Question about Toshiba TB25-LMP Projector Lamp
I have a 52" Toshiba LCD projection TV. I have replaced the lamp one time before. Now is my 2nd time to replacint it. But when I got my new lamp, plug it in, did not work. Took it out and ohm it (dial is to max resistance), no reading. It is open circuit. What is the lamps' theory of operation? I believe it has parallel connections; one is for the light, one is for the TV to detect the circuit continuity so that it will turn on the light. Please help. Thanks, Andy

SOURCE: Bulb Replacement
the bulb hot indication has nothing to do with the lamp counter.u would have reset the counter as suggetsed by the manufacturer,
this problem is because of the following:
1) wrong bulb
2) cooling fans not working adequately
3) defective ballast
check the above for a solution

Unplug the TV, ensure the lamp door is installed and the screw is snug. Plug the TV in and wait a moment. touch and hold your finger on the power button on the front of the TV. If your TV does not power up, your ballast and power supply should be suspect. Many Toshiba DLP sets use a similar lamp design. They have been known to burst and cause a momentary short. This can knock out the power circuits which feed the lamp. If this is the case, post back for further details if you wish to repair this yourself. I hope this was of some assistance.
