I have a CDC A08 CD changer. The magazine is stuck in the unit and won't eject. How do I get it out?

Unhooking to reset it doesn't work. The metal mechanism which slides in front of the magazine won't retract far enough to allow the magazine to come out. It is the first time I have used the unit and I may have inadvertantly put the magazine in the wrong way. I put it in with the arrow pointing into the slot. Is this right or should the arrow point to the right?

Sir,

when the cd changer laser is bad it don't let any cd to move in to the player position
this happens a lot on changers with eject button .Unit needs to be repair or replace there is no other way you need a new laser pickup or a rebuilt changer

Or

unplug the negative battery terminal for 1 hour you need to have the radio code before you do this

if the changer is still giving you the same error it needs to be replace

Try unhooking and reconnecting it if not there is a user guide you can download from here with a couple other troubleshooting solutions you could try

Hi jag xjs 1993 cd cassette wont eject as no 6 stuck in any hints on how to eject the casestte?

you would have to take the to off of the changer. If you can do that, on top of the cd mechanism is a large gear which slides the trays in and out of the magazine, If you can, move the gear so the tray slides back into the magazine. The changer will probably work once that gear is freed.

My in-car cdc will not eject the cartridge?.

Press the eject button several times non stop.Like 10 to 15 times non stop and see,if the cartridge is getting ejected out.If its still stuck, then disconnect the car battery negative terminal for 15 minutes then reconnect the negative terminal and heck.If still the cartridge is stuck, then its problem with internal mechanism. You will have to disassemble the unit and manually eject the cartridge out and lubricate internal mechanism.-------------- Unplug the changer and use a flat metal ruler. And slide it alongside the cartridge. try sliding on both sides. You'll eventually trigger the manual switch and it'll pop out.Bif that is also not helping then:--- solution is to disassemble the CD changer and lubricating the mechanisms inside. This is the most common problem with CD changers. Take the unit out of car and try to release disc manually.Take the screws out on both sides of player then remove case . You will be able to manually push the big gear so that the disc goes back into the cartridge. And then it slides out. After that you lube all moving parts with a teflon grease and some parts with silicon spray. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Disk 1 is stuck in mazda 3 6 cd changer and all player says is to check disk but won't eject

your eject spring has either broken or become dis ingaged or it has stripped a cog either way its far cheaper to replace the unit than have it fixed

I recently bought a porsche 2002 911 and it didnt have a cd magazine in the cdc-3 player I have been watching on ebay for used one. I believe there are two diff. shapes. item #260429427637 seemes to be the...

i believe one was an Alpine and the other a Sony or Clarion, not really sure. I would wager that the reason you didn't get the magazine is cause the cd won't play. The 3disc in dash changer Alpine made years ago had the highest incident of repair of any thing they made. Great idea but like everything else the devil is in the details, and the loading mechanism had to be so precise and no room for even the slightest error and in a car environment thats damn near an impossibility, and hey what the hell do you need a 3 disc changer in a Porsche 911 for anyway?? Dr Porsche wanted you to listen to the beautiful sound of that killer 911SC motor grooving thru those gears like a hot knife thru butter... You probably have the Becker radio too? I work on every Porsche because there is a Porsche only shop close by to mine and Jack sends me all you Porsch freaks... I recommend Capt. Kirk you go get the Kenwood KDC-X993 head unit if you have the single DIN radio. It has a USB port in the back, built-in Bluetooth for you to keep your hands on that $2000.00 leather wrappen Grants Steering Wheel and on top of that it can match your interior VDO gauges like a *****, you would swear it came right from Stuttgaurt... It looks as good as a supermodel sitting next to you in those Riccarro Race seats that cost as much as my freakin' house... And the Kenwood just FITS in that car... Check it out.. You can thank me later... Peace out ... mark @ Sounds Good to Me. Tempe, AZ

1998 vw cd changer reads "chk magazine" or"cd err" help!

Unplug it for about 5 minutes and plug it back in and pray to the vw cd changer Gods to allow it to play again.. By unplugging the unit AT THE UNIT will result in a hard Boot. Now if it is still not happening than it's time to call the repair man, also be sure the magazine is inserted correctly. I couldn't tell you how many customers came in with the magazine upside down, *** backwards, cds loaded upside down, etc but try unplugging it 1st. good luck. but let me ask you why you messing with a changer when you probably don't own but 4 cd's and all your music is on your iPod?? Peace. Mark @ Sounds Good to Me . Tempe, AZ

Have a Blaupunkt AM FM Radio/In-Dash Ch Cgnager (6 stacker) in a 2003 Holden Commodore. After ejecting the 6th one of the CD's succesfully, get "CD Error mech" message and it will not eject the...

We eventually tried loading another CD to fill the one vacant spot we knew was in the changer even though we'd tried that before without success. This time it seems that we fluked it just as it was trying to eject CD 1 again and - somehow - the CD we were tryng to insert must have lifted the rim of the one that was stuck and it suddenly ejected. The remaining 4 CD's that were inside the changer but not even recognised, then started re-loading so it appears that they were all jammed up together. Once they'd reloaded we were able to eject them all successfully then reload.
We're not sure but think that it may have happened when the eject button was originally pressed once to eject CD 6 then, in error, held down for a 'eject all' procedure and the changer has become confused with both instructions.

Error 1 on alpine cha-s364

Quick Note: It's really helpful to your cause if you make sure you include more information about your system and what you're doing to get an error.

It's also a good idea to make sure you type in your model number correctly - you've typed in cha-s364 (the actual model you're talking about "I think" is a CHA-S634 - please verify!!

Here's a link to the user manual

As for the E-01 Error message on your CD Changer:

The E-01 reading is an error message, usually because the changer magazine is jammed in the changer. To manual eject out the magazine, take a thin plastic ruler (at least 5-1/2" in length) and slip it between the bottom of the magazine and the changer. Now, push in. This will hit a release button in the back. If the magazine does not eject, you will need to send the unit in to be serviced. To locate the nearest authorized service center to you call 1-800-ALPINE-1.
Note: if the magazine is half way out, but jammed, DO NOT try to release the magazine. You will need to send the unit in to be serviced by a technician.
