90 series dryer wont start

The dryer makes a noise but wont start. We had to leave before clothes were dry,so we stoped the dryer. When we got back the dryer would not start. It makes a slight noise for about 15 seconds , then stops. Drum will not turn, nothing works.Just a noise at first, like the motor is trying to turn but can't.

Whirlpool dryer leq8611lw0 shakes violently and makes loud noise

Something must be inside the blower wheel. I cannot imagine why it would shake like that. This dryer has 4 wheels instead of 2 so it oughta be stable. The only thing to do is get inside the machine and see what is causing it. The dryer with a filter inside is also sometimes known as a series 90 dryer. Look for some series 90 dryer videos on youtube. Like this crappy one I made:

Kenmore dryer 90 series

Since no model number was given, check to see if you have a setting commonly noted as "wrinkle guard", "wrinkle shield", "press care" or something to that affect. Those settings will run the dryer for as much as 90 min after a completed drying cycle to prevent wrinkles in clothing, allowing you time to remove the cloths after a dry cycle if you are busy. My dryer is on but it wont dry my clothes

Start by checking that the exhaust pipe is not blocked. Without airflow drying will be very slow. If you have good airflow, then the next item to check is the heating element, which can be checked with an ohm meter.

Kenmore 90 series dryer leaves clothes damp. The dryer gets hot, but after almost 2 hours a large load is still damp. Happens on both auto sensing & timed dry. Checked insides & all is clear -...

Sounds like a venting problem at the house pipe.
Make sure the house venting pipe is completely clean and vent hood just outside is free of any blockages.
If all that is cleaned I would check all working thermostats and high limit thermostat as well.
GOOD LUCK!
