Question about Samsung SyncMaster 173T (Black) 17" LCD Monitor
Hi; I need to open this Samsung SyncMaster 173t monitor up to get at the motherboard to troubleshoot... but I can't figure out how to open it up; the four screws holding the base on are the only ones on it, so looks like it needs to be pryed open? Anyone know how? Scared to pry on the wrong spot and crack the thing...
Viewsonic Vx922 is sight tuf to open the rear door
Take and sharp blade
one side there is small gap to insert it
and then just twist and move front and round the monitor
all clips inside will unlock after that it will open

if there are too many black spots already then that means there are lots of dead pixels on your lcd and it cannot be repaired anymore. that will continue to add more dead pixels and eventually damage the device.

I have the same monitor and it should be screwed to the PC and have some sort of protection over the screws so you don't see any screws on it...
It's there...the screws...
