Power goes off automatically

Hi there, It has been year since I dont have problem any more with Plasma, suddenly my Plasma TV is getting in standby mode and it turns of automatically with RED light- aledy (redlight -near ON/OFF Switch of TV)keeps constinously blinking To restore back for temporary solution, i switch off the power completely and switch back again, It blinks for sometime and plays very well for first 40 minutes, then it goes again in standby, then when i do the same process , this works for 10 minutes and then it goes to stand by I checked all the setup menu , and made sure that the OFF TIMER is not activated I am out of warranty and now I called a servce centre , they give my high quotes to just see for inital investigation I doubt wether a change in power cord can save the problem , I am from australia, and there are no current fluctuations in my area, Please advise Thanks and regards Satish

I have a Philips plasma TV Model 42pf9952/12s and the problem is it starts for some seconds then suddenly it goes to standby.

No mystery, set is not making it on and shutdown circuit takes over, shop repair and may not be worth the cost of that repair.

Why does plasma tv not come on?

Check the power outlet. Try connecting it to a different power outlet. Look for any jammed buttons on remote. Retry by removing batteries of the remote and operating the TV from the control panel. If nothing works, the power supply has gone bad. It could also be a blown fuse.

TV keeps shutting off automatically

Since your plasma is less then a year old, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get it fix under warranty. If the plasma keeps shutting off by itself, that is not normal and should be repair.
