Program code needed for Sanyo TV

No one buys universal remotes these days. You buy a facsimile remote which is the same as the original and no programming. www.remotes.com

The universal code for most is 049 for a Sanyo TV.

• With your universal remote you press the code search key until it illuminates and then you press and release the TV key.
• Next enter the three digit code (3 digit remote code page) and the indicator light turns off.

you didn't specify the brand and model number of your remote . any way follow the steps to prgram your remote with your tv. if it is GE universal remote. any other brand contact me back with its brand and model number.

1.Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.) you wish to
program.
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH/SETUP button on the remote
until the INDICATOR LIGHT lights, then release.
3. Press and release the button for the device you are programming
(TV, VCR, DVD, etc.). For AUX, press AUX then the device button
you are assigning to AUX. The INDICATOR LIGHT will blink then
remain lit.
4. Enter the three or four digit ( or three digit)code for your device using the number
buttons in the GE Universal Remote. After your code is entered the
INDICATOR LIGHT will turn off.
5.Aim the remote at the device (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.) and press the
POWER button. Your device should turn off.

Try the codes for other Sanyo models in the instruction booklet. If those don't work, remotes.com has a listing of codes that may help.

Is your Sanyo set a combo unit? If so, it may be listed as something other than a TV.

hold the mode you want to program while you enter the code, then let go, and depending on the remote, it will blink

Here is the link I just found the manual on for this remote control, which I needed the codes for myself: http://safemanuals.com/brand-user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/RCA go there type in the remote model RCR450 enter, click on the link that comes up and download the Manual in PDF form.

The codes for Sanyo are 1004, 1048, 1049, 1073, 1080, 1162, 1169, 1180 depending on which model you have.

OR:

1: Turn on the device you want to program ex: the TV

2:hold the button for the device you need to program in ex:TV
while holding down TV button hold down ON/OFF at the same time for 3 secs and the light should turn on and stay on.

3:click the ON/OFF button until the TV finally turns off may take many times but as long as the light stays on when your not pushing a button you still have codes to go through.

4:press the stop button and the device is programmed into the remote.

The codes listed by Sanyo for my TV won't work in my star Choice remote.
I tried 017 021 039 056 057 058 and 140 as listed by Sanyo.
Any ideas?
