Keypad locks too frequently when retrieving voicemail
When retrieving voicemail (from Virgin) you have to interact with the service several times using the keypad - press 1 to hear your messages, press 3 to delete a message etc.
But as soon as I dial the # and press 1 to hear new messages, the keypad locks. Each time I want to press another digit, first I need to unlock the keypad again. It only takes one keypress to unlock the keypad, but it's very annoying b/c I can't keep my fingers on the keypad - I have to move the phone away from and back to my ear constantly.
I've turned off the security lock setting - turned it off alttogether. Makes no difference.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I am not familiar with this phone but some phones you have to select an option to enable DTMF. When you are in a voicemail call, try selecting options or menu and see if there is an option to enable DTMF.
Dual Tone Multi Frequency is the sound the keys make when you select them and this is what is not being sent by your phone and your voicemail needs these sounds to know what key you are pressing.

Your voicemail number on your phone is usally different than your own number. It's called a "retrieval number" which your provider has. You will need to contact them and get this number and they should be able to assist you with reprogramming the number into your phone. Hope this helped.
