you can use a pocket knife to cut it ,after you measured where it needs to be cut.set a level over it as a guide then roll the pocket knife along the level a few times. ( the nife you use to cut drywall).to seal it use a very good silicone its cost around $8.each.you can also use for the joints a vinyl molding that comes for that laminatepanel to put it together.good luck,any problem feel free to ask about it again.
