Question about Sylvania 6626LG 26 in. LCD Television
Hi! I posted the problem for my LCD TV. And the photos of the LCD TV are posted on my website at http://sites.google.com/site/yoofamilysite/Home/photos
My problem is that LCD TV has X-ray-like image on the half of the screen.
And your solution was ' problems coming from a bad Display Drive Board'. Would you please point out on the photos which device may cause the problem? A repairman told me that I need to re[lace the main board. An another repairman told me that the problem was caused by IC chip in the LCD control board. Please help me out! Thanks.
Usually this problem is associated with the LCD Screen. The screen is made up of many layers in a matrix form. If there is any separation, no mater how slight ....it will cause the mastic in the screen to break connections. This can be caused by manufacture defects...which is hard to prove. Common causes is someone unaware what happened pushed the center of the screen causing it to flex a minute amount there by breaking the mastic or matrix if you prefer.......replaced screen and corrected problem. That is the most common cause, however as with any problem; other issues can cause the same effect.
The cable (data) comming off the logic board to the screen can have a loose or dirty connection; there by giving the appearance of a broken mastic. In which case unplugging and replugging the cable in and out several times should clear this up.
Last but not least is the logic board. There is no need to try and repair this. Replacement is the way to go. Why most of the logic and data chips have so many connections that special equipment is need to facilitate repairing the board.
Hope This help.
