MDP-1815: can't get video on external TV using AV-Out

I can get audio, but not video on an external TV when using the AV Out jack on my MDP-1815. I have a large number of cables with similar looking plugs. Does the original equipment cable have both red and white RCA audio plugs? Is there something I need to do to "tell" the MDP-1815 to output to the AV Out jack?

The AV is actually the yellow jack.
Just plug that in.
If it don't come up then you have to enable it in display options.
How you do that is click on the center of the laptop screen when the menu appears goto properties and then advanced you will see the settings.

Can i hook up cable to mintek player

Hello,

the answer is yes. Check the sides of the player, you will see a yellow jack space, just like the earphone jack space which is green.

The yellow jack space is called "AV OUT" that where wire will be connected from the player to TV.

The wire you will be using is 3.5mm to RCA Video cord. There is 3.5mm to RCA Audio, so make sure you get 3.5mm to RCA Video cord.

I hope you understand my message.

Good luck.

What kind of cable do we need to connect the video and audio output from a Mintek MDP-1030 DVD player to a TV with component and composite input?

IN MOST ELECTRONIC STORES I.E. RADIO SHACK. THEY SELL THE CABLES TO STEP UP FROM YOUR VIDEO JACK (WHICH I'M GUESSING LOOKS LIKE A HEADPHONE JACK) TO A YELLOW VIDEO CABLE. THEY ALSO SELL THEM FOR AUDIO AS WELL.

That should be a relatively common cable. I would try radio shack, if you have one in your area.

Hi
Check and see if you have A/V out jacks on the unit. If you do, they will be yellow, red, and white.
They are called RCA jacks, and if you have them, and the TV has the same type of jacks, then you just need the cable that goes in between. The DVD player normally comes with them, but if not, you can purchase them at any Circuit City, or even Walmart.
