Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Hi there ive been loaned a hp psc 1355 all-in-one printer scanner copier, its been gathering dust for a while at my mates, anyway i bought 2 replacement ink cartridges 1 black and 1 colour (56 an 57 i think) put them in and got 'check print cartridge' orange led flashing and an 'E 'on copies, ive had them out, as per hp tests, both leaking ink, both look ok. although i realise that means nothing, one at a time and both together even downloaded hp diagnostic tool to no avail cannot get flashing led off oh yeah cleaned contacts wiv eraser at end of pencil (ideal for job i might add lol)is there any way you can think of, of curing this? hopefully WITHOUT buying replacement cartridges lol....yrs in anticipation mal
I will explain you the cause for it.
It prints in yellow first and then override with black for better quality. This is the reason your color ink gets empty.
Have a great day!

I heard you can get the 3310 to do a pump up the tubes cycle but i don't know how to make it do it. Pressing the ok and cancel buttons when you power up didn't work for my machine. Which has too died a inkless black death!

Neither solution will help, Brother has had some bad printheads and the only repair is to install a new printhead. It's a shop repair and runs around $170.00. Under warranty there's no charge. The thing you really don't want to do is blow air into the system as it takes another full ink to get the air bubbles out. Sorry for the Stupid help above.
