Now that the water is shut off what about the problem itself. The floor is wet near the intake. The valve itself is not leaking. I suspect that the tube that feeds the bowl is defective. How do I replace it?

If it is the tube that feeds the bowl it is small flexible tubing. You May have to get an entire kit with the tube in it.

If it is the supply line from the valve to the tank just buy a flexible one ( Metal braided ) and install. Do not overtighten the flexible line.

It could be the type of flap you are using. I would suggest you try a different shaped flapper (a cone would work best) and if that doesn't do it, put a new kit into the unit, because it could be that the float system is sticking causing it to continue running.

My daughters TOTO toilet kepted running so she turned off the supply line before she went to bed. when she woke up the next moring and turned the water back on, now the tank won't refill. How do I know...

There could be several reasons why it won't refill. It could be the fill valve, which can be replaced with a standard fill valve located at any hardware store. The more likely reason is the stem inside the shut-off of the toilet has broken off inside the valve. This is very common when a valve is older and usually doesn't get shutoff. If this is the case, a new shut-off valve must be soldered on.

Sounds like something in the floating device is bad so it doesn't shut off when filled. We just replaced our flush valve on ours because the toilet keep running.

Toilet keeps running after it fills up.how do i fix it?

Inside the tank where the water line connects is the fill valve. If the float is sticking on something that would be one problem. If the float is not triggering the valve to turn the water off then you would need to replace the fill valve unit. If you dont have time to get to it right away then you could turn the water off and on to the toilet until you have time to replace the fill valve unit.

Toilet keeps running water in back tank keeps running over top of drain hole

You don't have to replace, You just need to adjust the fill valve. If you have the ball **** type just tight the top phillips screw. If you have the newer type, close the water valve under the tank and Push down a plastic ring at the bottom of the filling valve, Push down the top of the valve, lift the plastic ring to it's place and open the water valve.

The water filling the tank does not turn off, it keeps running

It sounds like the fill valve is not operating correctly. Remove the fill valve which it the tall item inside the tank where the water runs through and replace it with a universal replacement part from your local hard ware store. Take the valve to the store so that you can get the proper replacement piece.

I suggest that you replace the cap with the new seal, it sounds as tho the valve is not shutting off and the bowl fill tube continues to run. Have you adjusted the water level to 3/4 of an inch below the overflow tube. If not, try that.

I purchased a Toto Aquia II Dual Flush Toilet, around a year ago. No problems until now. The toilet won't flush. It doesn't appear to be running at all.

If this is one of those models that most people have, the valve that shuts the incoming water off when the tank is filled is probably bad. It only costs about 8-10 dollars to replace. This valve is actually a stem or tree shaped device.
