Printing photos with Epson drains the cartridges alot faster than printing documents. The dpi settings for photos are much higher to get the photo quality. Blue is a base color that helps to mix to create some of the colors in the photos so this is normal with the Epson brand. Hope this helps.

Epson stylus 14400 is printing purple- how do i solve that?

Your yellow ink cartridge is not putting out any ink. Try cleaning cycles in groups of 3 (important). Print a nozzle check between each cycle. After a couple groups of 3, give up for a while and try again in a few hours. Try a new yellow cartridge, too.

R1900 adds blue-green tint to my photo prints

Epson doesn't like Generic Cartridges.

Hello, In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. That sounds like your problem. Also in Purchasing the Brother's . Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, etc. These printers have a chip, that will detect if it is Generic or Genunie. When using Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, but you have to fill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it.

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

INK JET PRINTER NOT PRINTING RED - GREEN HUE ALL OVER

the mixture of red is a combination of magenta and yellow ink or toner, if either one of these color is out of quantity or not working, chances are you will not get the right color. hope this helps.

When printing a photo has a yellow/green tint. All other functions work it prints and scans great. Just have a problem with printing photos.

Possibly it is running low on Blue ink - because colors are usually a mixture of inks - for example green is made from blue and yellow - if an ink runs low it will print the available colors or substitute the next available color.Probably if it prints green yellow - then it has no blue available to make the right shade.

Epson DX 8450 printer takes 5 mins plus to print 6x4 Jpeg photo

For more clarity (High DPI) print quality it will take time. For faster prints go to printer settings and select the printer and Right click on it select properties.

There in General TAB you will see at the bottom Printing Preferences Select that one.

There you will get some page tabs select Paper/Quality

Select Advanced and Set Graphic Print Quality lesser. The more you set the print will be faster.

Apply all settings and press ok.

This should solve the problem.

The printer works OK but the colours dont print correctlt,i.e., Red prints a Mejenta color and Yellow is a pastel blue. How do I correct it?

Check to see if you're using a modified colour profile - try the default instead.

If the ink has been refilled manually, it might have been done incorrectly. Purchase a new cartridge.
