Hi. I have lost the instruction to the 15 minute Energizer Ni-MH Battrey Charger. Could you tell me what does the flashing red light mean? and does the unit switch off by its self when charged?

i'm not sure what the flashing red light means, but it is only doing it for one of the batteries.

I had the same issue... and I found the manual on-line here:

red blinking == battery error. Pull the batteries out and try them one at a time to see which one causes the error. Manual says try cleaning the contacts on the battery/charger.

A flashing red light indicates that there's an error, or the batteries are defective.

No, the unit won't switch itself off once the batteries have been fully charged. The unit will start trickle charging instead.

NI-MH D 14.4V 8000mAh Charger Hack. I need an alternative charger like charging on a car battery?

NI-MH batteries a re very different than car batteries and even tho voltage may be similar, you risk destroying your battery, camera or worse, an explosion. Your batter may only need a limited amount of amperage to charge (likely not much more than 1500ma or 1.5 amp) a car battery charger may put out twice or even ten times that much - hence the explosion risk! Also these kind of chargers detect when your battery is full and will quit charging or switch to a maintenance mode. I'm afraid you're pretty much stuck with using the charger meant for it.

Alternative battery charging

you cannot use any charger that is not used to charge ni-mh batteries car batteries charge at a rate of 5 amps minimum and if you do it will cause serious damage to the charger and batteries
if you want ideas , talk to a battery shop but unless it is designed to charge 14.4 volt ni-mh batteries-- forget it

Dewalt 30 Minute Fast Charger does it work in uk 230v

Some battery can not be charged by fast charger, because this can damage the battery. You can think to replace it to a new charger, a 7.2V 9.6V 12V 14.4V 18V NI-CD NI-MH BATTERY charger for Dewalt

Do you know where I could find a user guide manual for a NEXXTECH Ni-Cd/Ni-MH 2300033 battery charger?

Radio Shack 230-0033 appears to be the same charger.

I have this charger (Nexxtech branded, model 2300033) and the specs all appear to line up. However, I don't have the manual.

I lost the battery charger for the BigFoot toy. Can I buy one?

I know you can get these on Ebay. Also most NI-MH 9 volt battery charges will charge this battery pack. You can use a 9 Volt Snap Battery Connector with Alligator Clips to bridge the connection between the battery pack and the NI-MH 9 volt batter charger. This is how I charge this battery pack now. You can probably get the 9 Volt Snap Battery Connector with Alligator Clips at a radio shack or on Amazon... as well as a NI-MH 9 volt battery charger.. don't hook up the leads backwards :)

There is a flashing red light, What does it mean?

I'm assuming that you're using either NiMH or NiCad battery pack here.
Note that quick charging drastically shortens the battery lifespan, and can sometimes actually damage the battery pack.
A red flashing light could indicate either a cell or cells with an internal short circuit or same with high internal resistance.
Measure the pack with a multimeter to see if the voltage is correct before proceeding.

Iam using Energizer 15min charger. I have used for a longer time. Now the charger red light blinks while trying to re-charge batteries. I have tried various batteries but red light blinks. Failed to charge...

A flashing light indicates that the charger seems to detect a problem with the cells. (two or more cells form a battery). Since you've tried other cells, it can be reasonably assumed that the charger is faulty and should be replaced.
