Ram Upgrade Upgraded to a AMD Athlon X2 5400 2.8Ghz from the stock 3800. Also upgraded the psu, graphic card(evga 9500 GT), sound card and coolers. Running 4 X 1Gb PC4200 533Mhz. Wondering what the fastest and best ram to use is? Thinking about going 2 X 2GB PC5400 667 or PC6400 800. Running Vista home premium 32 Bit also thinking of going to 64 Bit O/S. Max speed supported for your mobo is: DDR2-533
You will have to buy (4) 1gb sticks (2gb sticks not supported)
To use all four gigs of ram you need a 64 bit os.32 bit only supports 3gb of ram. Hope this helps!

What is the best upgrade cpu for a compaq presario sr5110nx 32 bit vista O.S... ATHLON 64 (single core) without having to go to 64 bit, and/or new drivers ?

The 400W PSU is going to limit your CPU selection to dual-core at best, although you might be able to get away with a higher-end dual-core CPU if your RAM is not ECC and not dual-channel, and you're not running anything serious in terms of a graphics or sound card or a SCSI array.

Given your current setup I'd really look for a 1.6Ghz dual-core Athlon which has a decent amount of KB in its Level 1 and Level 2 cache, but 3MB for its Level 3 cache.

Anything beyond that ballpark of a CPU upgrade is certainly well within the bounds of diminishing returns, and you should look at getting a new PSU, motherboard, and probably RAM (I'm guessing you're using DDR2 RAM currently).

Best cpu upgrade for HP pavilion MS214 AIO PC

This sounds like a good idea, I would go for the upgrade, since I don't and very rarely have had an AMD system, I'm not 100% sure on which chips are compatible, as for the wattages, that's the thermal design power (TDP) or heat output so the PSU won't need to be changed out, heck, I have a 192.1W psu on a system that needs a 300W PSU, my CPU TDP is 110W, no issues there apart from energy efficiency of the PSU under full load!, your PSU should be fine, they're normally rated higher than the system needs under a load to improve efficiency, the load is best optimized at 50% but the PSU on your system under an intense load should be around 60% with the new chip which is pretty good if you ask me :)
in other words, go for the upgrade, get a chip that works from Amazon or EBay for a low price, then, if it isn't compatible, it won't be much of a a big loss... anyway, there's always overclocking, just get a more powerful cooler and crank that clock speed up, the chip should handle up to 2.08GHZ which is a really good overclock for a chip like that!, remember to stress test the system for at least 24 hors on an overclock with Prime95 (from Mersenne Prime search)
Good luck :)

Want to upgrade graphics

Your right, both cards will be quite an inprovement in graphics. Your weak link is going to be the CPU, Your specs say AMD Semperon 3200 1.8GHz. Your power supply is a 300w, right? The EVGA 01G-P3-1302-LR has a MIN. 350w. http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=01G-P3-1302-LR&seeReview=true, you should be OK. The GIGABYTE GV-R435OC-512I Min. 300w. PCIE 2.0 :http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2924#sp Both sound good for you , I have both ATI/AMD and Nvidia in laptops and desktops. I like Nvidia. It's your choise, of course, Both are a lot of bang for the bucks. They do get Hot, so keep them as cool as you can. Both have fans! If the graphics card starts giving you little issues, upgrade the PSU to say 400w. Remember, every device you add requires a bit more power.Enjoy!

I have a Acer AX1200-U1510A AM2+ Motherboard and i would like to upgrade the processor, ihave 4 gigs of mem and a 1 gig Gigabyte Gt 610 graphics card. I only have a 240 watt power supply what processo

Should work with a processor of the same socket type. I'd seriously upgrade the psu myself. Personally I'd upgrade the motherboard and processor to a quad core, and get the fastest ram, look at ebuyer.com, you can buy a bundle upgrade package for less than you may think. :)

There is 2 things i want to upgrade but i don't know what to get. I want to upgrade the graphics card, and the ram. Can you please give me some options? :)

First off I gotta say,bad computer case to work with(Not much room). If you plan on gaming and putting your graphics on high on every game then you might want to consider a new case cause good graphics cards wont fit but I have found some that do and they play every game til this day but I have to adjust some of the settings.I chose the EVGA GeForce GTS 450, and the EVGA GEFORCE GTX 260 hense I have two of this hellions! Both graphics cards I would say are about even now that I am running 8GB(4x2GB RAM),I just added 2 2GB ram sticks seeing as how you can only run 8GB on this motherboard and it already comes with 2 2GB ram sticks not sure of the brand they use but they work with the low profile ram sticks located here ---->http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231253 <----The cool part is they will replace them if they ever stop working for whatever reason! If I were you I would get these pair on the link I showed you and either of those graphics cards and I guarantee you wont feel let down, trust me,I was just gonna start all over with all new stuff before I realized that for like $50-150 I could have reliable computing, networking etc. plus Great gaming quality with the new DirectX11 pc games of today!NewEgg.com also has hand on videos you can watch that will show/teach you how to do it all your self!I hope this helps, good luck! -CB

Your existing CPU will not work with that motherboard. The AM2+/AM2 processor slot is for AMD processors only. For this motherboard, you will need one of the following processors: Phenom FX / Phenom / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64 X2

My motherboard is Manli geforce 6100 value and i am instaled Vga card Zotac Nvidia 9500 GT with processor AMD Athlon 5200 x2, ram corsair 2Gb dual chanel, PSU extreme 450. my problem: My PC performance is...

I would back off the 9500 GT and get the onboard video working first.

I would also suggest that you don't have a good enough PSU for that 9500 card, Corsair memory, and the and the AMD 64 x2 5200.

That could account for the slowing down and occasional blank out. The Extreme 450 is much better suited for a milder, stock system.

For that system I would suggest a GOOD PSU at least 650 and preferably 700 to 750.

Screen going blank for a second or two while video freezes then jumps.

If you have on board graphics try removing video card and reboot when computer rebooted turn it of and refit card and restart when restarted computer should recognize new hard ware and should find the already installed drivers if not try installing drivers again
Sometimes windows does not recognize new hardware until its refitted
had this problem with modems alot and the above method solved it
