LeapFrog Connect won't install for me either, same message!

  • jwebster307 Mar 02, 2009

not only does the cd connect not lownload, the leapster website is blocked in our school and I can not manually download this. What an investment for poor support. This is not user friendly and for families without internet service, this is just a waste. Buyer beware.

If you recieve the minimum system requirements error when attempting to install the LeapFrog Connect application, try closing any open sidebars. Examples are the Windows Vista Sidebar and the Google Desktop Sidebar. Once they are closed, try running the installer again.

How to change battery on leapfrog tag? Trying to download new books from the on to tag but it says there is a problem with the connection. Can you help?

In order to change the battery on the tag "reading pen" turn it over and there is what looks like a flat head screw head on the back of the tag, it should be white. Give that a quarter turn and the back should pop off, ours was kind of tough to get off but after the back comes off you can replace the 2 AAA batteries. I believe the "pen" has to be turned on to connect to the computer so this might fix your connection problem also.

LeapFrog Connect Application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. I don't know what to do. this is what I got both of my kids for Christmas and it doesn't work...

I would completely remove the software and reinstall it. I recently bought the Tag Jr after already having a regular Tag installed on my computer, and had to completely re-download everything. LeapFrog's website today also said that they were experiencing much higher than normal traffic, and some applications may not work as well or as fast.
