Trouble Uninstalling softwarer

I have an Acer Notebook, and am trying to uninstall the BitDefender software, and when I go into the control panel, and attempt to uninstall the software it says something to the effect of cannot uninstall because of a driver that wasn't installed properly, what am I either missing or doing wrong?

Got to this link and download "ccleaner" and install it.
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
Click on the green arrow at the top right of the screen that says "downoad latest version". once it is installed follow these steps.

1) open ccleaner, click on the desktop icon or got to mycomputer -> c:/ -> program files -> ccleaner -> and click on the program there.

2) click on "Tools" on the right hand side of the little ccleaner window. this is an installer.

3) scroll to "Bitdefender" and click on it, then click on "Run Uninstaller" on the right hand side of the window.

4) once uninstalled, click on "Registry" on the left hand side, then click on "Scan for Issues"

5) when its done scanning, click on "Fix Selected Issues". Click on "Yes" when it asks to back up registry. Click "Save". Click "Fix All Issues" then Close.

6) Click on "Cleaner" on the left side of the window. Click "Analyze"
Click "Run Cleaner". Click "OK" and you are done.

This is a good routine to run once a week to clean up all the junk that builds up in your system.

This should remove all of "Bitdefender" from your system.

Let me know :)

HP System Software Manager

The HP Remote Support Software Manager is an application installed on HP desktops and laptops, that enables Remote Assistance on the computer for HP personnel access. This Remote Support client allows a technical support representative from HP to see and control your computer to assist you with making changes on the machine. The HP Remote Support Software Manager may be safely uninstalled from the computer. Uninstalling this application will not affect any other functions and features. However, you should create a Restore Point prior to uninstalling any software just in case problems arise with the changes. Create Restore Point in System Restore Click the Windows "Start" button and then right-click on the "Computer" entry. Click "Properties" from the context menu. Click the "System Protection" link in the left navigation pane. Click the tab labeled "System Protection" and then click the "Create" button. The Create button label indicates that this action will create a System Restore Point now. Type a description for the manually created Restore Point and click "Create." The System Restore Point is manually created. Uninstall HP Remote Support Software Manager Click the Windows "Start" button and select "Control Panel." Click the "Programs" link in the Control Panel. Click "Programs and Features." The list of installed programs will appear. Locate the HP Remote Support Software Manager in the list and click the entry. Click the "Uninstall" button on the top navigation bar. Type the "Administrator" password, if prompted, and click "Continue." The program is uninstalled from the computer and the entry disappears from the Programs list.

How to completely uninstall a software

How to remove leftover files, folders and registry keys after uninstalling a software:
OK, first lets see what actually happens when we install a software?
When we install a software it copies some of its files usually in C:\Program Files , C:\Windows\System32 , Registry.
If we uninstall a Software from Add/Remove Program ( Win+R --> appwiz.cpl), it removes some files from C:\program Files only.
It will not remove the softwares supporting files and folders from System32 or Registry.
Now lets see how to remove these leftover files:
I use a small freeware utility called Revounistaller for this process.
What is Revounistaller ?
Revo Uninstaller helps you to uninstall and remove unwanted programs installed on your computer even if you have problems uninstalling and cannot uninstall them from "Windows Add or Remove Programs" control panel applet. Revo Uninstaller is a much faster and more powerful alternative to "Windows Add or Remove Programs" applet! With its advanced and fast algorithm, Revo Uninstaller analyzes an application's data before uninstall and scans after you uninstall an application. After the program's regular uninstaller runs, you can remove additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that are usually left over on your computer. Even if you have a broken installation, Revo Uninstaller scans for an application's data on your hard disk drives and in the Windows registry and shows all found files, folders and registry keys so you can delete them.
With its unique "Hunter mode", Revo Uninstaller offers you some simple, easy to use, but effective and powerful approaches to manage (uninstall, stop, delete, disable from auto starting) and to get information about your installed and/or running programs.
