First step check to make sure the cables are screwed in tight to the pc. and make sure it is plugged in, getting power. if it has a power button on it, make sure it is on. sounds simple but thats where to start.

Let me know if you still have problems

When i turn on the computer it turn dark and said auto adjusting in progress. You can push the off & on button and the logon screen come on.

This sounds normal. Each time you entergize your monitor when it is connected to a cpu that is powered on, it has to decern what the signal is and adjust its internal logic processor accordingly.

First of all, boot your system without the monitor connected to it and when you feel that it's booted upto logon screen (or if you haven't assign password it'll directly logon to the desktop, power on the speaker to make sure you can know it's done) connect the monitor. If this isn't successful, please turn off the system and remove the cmos battery, leave it outside for few minutes and again reinstall it. Boot again normally. Still having the same problem? then let's try another method. Did you see the bios loading (black screen with white text during startup) when you power on the system? If so, press F8 several times while it is booting and select "Safe Mode" and restore your system to previous state. Do let me know if this isn't possible. Good luck Thanks for using FixYa.

Monitor is only showing vertical/horizontal gray/white screen

Your video card has fried unfortunately. If you are familiar with the internal workings of a PC you can open it up and check the power cells on the video card itself, they will usually show signs of damage such as cracking etc. I would have a qualified professional take a look at it. I would recommend www.tigerdirect.com as a starting place for finding a new one

When at sign in screen it refuses to let me sign in continually returning me to same screen with the words user profile service failed the logon

The profile of the username that you are trying to logon to is may be deleted or corrupted. If there are other usernames available ot if you can logon to the administrator, please do so then create a new profile. If there are no other usernames you can use then most likely you will need to reinstall your Operating System.

Whenever the computer gets shut off randomly, the monitor does wacky things. One time it made it extremely bright and this time the color of the screen is bluish. It also wont pop up the menu when i press...

hayleyvivian, When Very strange things start to occur with ANY brand of LCD display the first place a technician will look is at the SMPS/inverter power supply for the monitor. One thing you could do is try to swap your display to a fully booted KNOWN GOOD pc with the desktop window showing. If display still does weird stuff, then you will know that it's not your pc screwing up. If you have already swapped-in a different display to your pc to logon the web, you already know it's the monitor that has the problem. Just FYI visit YOUTUBE for video clips of "LCD monitor disassembly" and "LCD repair". You my also want to check out your warranty to see if your covered or if Magnavox will do a swapout+cash for a REFURBISHED unit. Bye. 12fixlouie

Hp flat panel monitor comes on shows logon and then blank screen

Ok, another words, monitor powers up for few seconds and shuts down by itself. If green LED on the front panel turns off as well or stays on?
If stays on, then inverter turns into protection mode because of old backlight lamps.
If it turns off in same time with an image on the screen, then there are some bad electrolytic capacitors in the power supply.

Monitor powering up and down at random

Check monitoc cableing. This might be the cause of cable having loose connection on the back of the monitor. (I mean data cable (VGA) not power cable)
Did you have a chance to check with another monitor? Will picture appear when cable on the back is moved?

Does this happen when you logon to bios screen? REstart PC and keep pressing F2. You will see bios screen - test unit there. If that is ok then everything is fine with the monitor.
Let me know if issue is not solved by checking cable and I will provide you futher troubleshooting steps.
Thanx

New Monitor in my computer using a xp profesional

Restart your system and keep tapping the F8 Key as soon as you start the system. you should be at an advanced OS options menu, select SafeMode with VGA and proceed to logon to windows. Once in windows, right click on your desktop > properties > Settings > reduce settings to 800x600 > click OK > restart system. Now the display should be back on the monitor. Now read the manual to understand the highest supported resolution for this monitor + set the same as mentioned before on your system.

22" flatron (W2252TQ) Monitor Will not stay on after windows logo comes on

Reboot the computer and start in safe mode.(Press F8 at start-up in WIN XP).Change display resolution to 800><600 and restart in normal mode.
Your original problem must be monitor hardware related ie some loose connection or dry solder on invertor /power board inside the monitor.
Please provide feedback and rate the solution.
