Question about SATO CL408e Thermal Printer

1 Answer

Printing When I go to print a label it only prints the first two lines of the label. My labele are 4x6 and it prints around 1x6 and I can't get it to print the whole label. This just started when we put in new labels. I checked the page setup in the program and it has the correct size of the label. We are using the Label Matrix program for windows. Any suggestions, Thanks, Robin Universal Tools & Mfg. Co.

On the Zebra it was printing 4x13 labels without a problem. However when I tried to print a 4x6 label it still thought there was 4x13 stock in the printer. I played around with the label format size, even...

I think this is more related to the calibration of the label each time you change the new label size. I use ZM400 and your printer should also have the same setting. Under setting, put the When Head Close setting to Calibration. This will let the calibration perform automatically when ever you load a new label size and close the print head. Well 2 label will be lost every time.

You can recalibrate it to read the label size by doing the following.

Power off the printer
Hold down the green button
Turn the printer on and about 1/2 second after turning it on, release the green button
It will print out some information and measure the label. Once it stops, hit the green button one last time and then try to print another label.

There are two guides on that machine.

One guide will make sure that the media is locked down and secured. if it isn't it will cause drifting.

There is also another guide around the thermal head before printing that guides the labels before it prints. It either white or or it could be a green color.

are you using the takeup roller on the printer to hold the wax paper? If you are is it straight on the take up roller?
