Buy SPECTRA IMAGE film off of ebay, and look for film that is less than 30 months expired...most of the rest is too old..

Change the battery in an instant film pack

You can't change battery IMO. These film packs are not made that way.

Does it take batteries

The Spectra AF camera film packs contain the 6V battery that runs the camera. The manual for the Spectra camera is available here: store.polaroid.com/media/document/spectra_af_ug.pdf . See page 21 (page 29 of the PDF). Unfortunately, considering how long these cameras have been available, the film packs may be hard to find.

I hope this helps.

(even new cameras with rechargeable batteries sometimes need a replacement battery pack. The battery can't recharge forever.)

Where is the battery compartment for my spectra 1200ff

The battery is built into the film. Film is no longer available. Old stocks sometimes are sold, but the batteries are long dead and the photo chemicals are usually unusable.

Poloroid spectra 2........Does it have a battery, and how do you get into it???

The battery is included in the film pack. All original film packs now have flat batteries, especially if cold stored. Refrigerated packs with flat batteries can be used if you convert the camera to accept an external 4.5v dc stabilised power supply such as an external battery pack.

New film packs are available from The Impossible Project, but they are not the same material as the original Polaroid ones. The website tells you about the differences in results and product behaviour.

I have the polaroid spectra system that my grandfather had, it still has film in it but doesn't work...is there a battery somewhere? I haven't been able to find it....

The battery for many polaroid cameras is incorporated into the film pack. If the film has been in the camera a long time, the battery may have run down. There isn't any way to replace it. You have to fit a new film with battery, and these films can be hard to find fresh now.

Help Pls... i have a polaroid spectra 1200i i cant find where to load the batteries ?? there is already film inside from the previous owner. but no idea where the batteries go.

Late model Polaroid film cameras used a thin lithium battery incorporated into the film pack. There were no separate batteries. If your camera won't function, perhaps the battery in the film pack has gone bad during long storage, in which case you will need to replace the film pack and won't be able to use the remaining film.

Can you still get film for the polaroid macro 5 camera please

In short, no. It's a long obsolete and specialised camera. Polaroid Spectra film will also work in your camera, but is also no longer made and is as common as fresh **** ****: if you find any it's likely to be useless now. Your camera is now a historical oddity and is of interest to collectors only, but as it can never be used the value isn't high.

Shutter not opening

Check the date of your film. If its past two years from its experation date it is probably bad film. If refridgerated since it was purchased it will be good film to use. The self contained battery pack is also embedded in the film pack and the battery will also stay fresh if stored in a fridge

Polaroid Spectra 1200si

Check to see if the film is still good because if it is not the built in battery might have died. Check to make sure that the film was going in the correct way and that nothing was blockin the film pack from going in.
