SOURCE: Fog Lights won't work

Definitely a ground. Clean everything with light sandpaper. Follow any/all wires and see where it grounds, clean there too. If all else fails, run a new ground wire from the frame to the exact spot you got the bulbs to work (a workaround that usually remains permanent on my cars!).

1999 Olds Aroura headlights go out periodically. I pull the highbeams on and they light as long as I keep tension on the lever. Lights go back on after tinkering around with the fog light button.

may be the fog lights are the problem if moving that switch makes it work. If you have fog lights wired through the head light relay then the over load system is cutting in the same as if you had a short. For maximum benefit from the use of fog lights they should only be used on their own and never in conjunction with other lights (road authority legal requirement) . They should be mounted as low down as possible and their intended design is to shine under the fog cloud ( in the free fog zone -fog is always about 12 inches clear of the ground) and not be refracted back by the fog. If other lights are on at the same time all you see is a white blankness.

GMC Envoy 2003 SLT only the parking lights and fog lights work. The low beam and high beam don't work. Please help

Well, the problem is that I dont know the reason, you should investigate. There could be issues with lamps (must get new) or electricity problems (must head to auto-service)

How to replace a front fog lamp

  • If your fog lamp is connected to or behind a grille, pop it out. This can be done by first removing the clips or screws connecting it to the car and gently pulling it out. (If your fog lights are not connected to a grille, proceed to step 2.)Find the bolts that hold the fog lamp in place; you may have to get underneath the automobile to do so.Using your ratchet wrench, remove the bolts.4Grab the connector on the back of the fog lamp, turn it counter-clockwise and pull it out. This should remove the actual light bulb from the lamp fixture.Remove the fog lamp from the car and place the new one in.6Place the light bulb into the new fog light and turn clockwise to lock into place.Bolt the fog lamp back into place, if you had to remove the grille, put it back now and screw/clip it back into place.Turn on the fog lights and make sure everything is working properly

How do u change a bulb in the fog lights on a

The fog lights on most vehicles sit directly underneath the headlight bulbs. The ballast and wiring work just like the headlights, so changing them takes not much time. The procedure to change the fog light is as follows:-- 1) Open the hood and reach down underneath the headlights to unplug the electrical plug from the fog light assembly. Squeeze the top of the release tab and pull the connection off the bulb's ballast. 2)Turn the fog light counterclockwise to remove it from the fog light housing. 3)Install the new fog light bulb. Then connect electrical plugs properly. 4) Test the fog lights by turning it ON. Thanks. you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
