Try to talk with your lips touching the mic . If there is any improvement open the mic housing very carefully and bring the capsule as near as possible to the top part of the housing .
hope this helps.

Why do people say they can't hear me when I call them?

Well, there's a bunch of reasons why that could be:

•You speak in a muffled/slurred voice that is difficult to understand when the listener is not looking at you
•Your phone's microphone is defective and need repair/replacement
•you have a case on the 5c that covers one or both of the microphones. There are two mics on the 5c: one that actually captures the intended audio and the other there listens for background noise. What the phone sends to the listener on the other end is a subset of the two microphone sources passed through a complex filter.
The "main" mic is on the bottom of the iPhone while the background sensing mic is on the rear housing between the camera and flash.
•you have debris/dirt in the microphone holes

How to hear my voice through my usb microphone?

by default the playback of your voice is muted. next to your clock theres the sound speaker icon click on it, you should see microphone somewhere there, if you dont press settings from the toolbar and then properties

then on the playback make sure there is a X on microphone.

then click ok, now check is the microphone muted? unmute it and speak to the microphone you should hear your own voice played back instantly from the speakers.

Im confused

The microphone may not work because of a hardware or configuration problem. To determine if it's a hardware problem, test the microphone in Sound Recorder.

  1. Click "Start," > "Programs" ("All Programs" for Windows XP) > "Accessories" > "Entertainment" > "Sound Recorder."
  2. Click the Record button and speak into the microphone of the camera. You should see the green line move, indicating the application is picking up sound.
  3. Click the Stop button.
  4. Click the Play button. If there is no sound at playback, check to make sure the correct device is selected.
    1. Click "Edit," then "Audio Properties."
    2. Make sure Logitech is listed as the Preferred device for "Sound recording."
The microphone may also be defective. To test this, try the camera on another USB enabled system.
If you can record sound in Sound Recorder, but not in the QuickCam application, try setting the Logitech Microphone as the Preferred device in Audio Properties.
Multimedia Keyboards:
A multimedia keyboard is a keyboard that has a button which can automatically control your computer volume. If you have a multimedia keyboard installed, the software for the multimedia keyboard may need to be uninstalled in order for the camera's microphone to work properly in Windows. Please contact Logitech with the make and model of the multimedia keyboard that is causing the problem. While we will not be able to assist you other than to advise to uninstall the keyboard software, it will help us determine the root cause of the incompatibility.
